Hi, after my first slightly disastrous attempt at sculpting a daemon prince from scratch (Got the proportions WAAAAAY off) I'm back for more, at the moment he is still a work in progress but I want to sort out what i want to do with his weapon before I start on his arms

The WiP so far, stomach needs finishing and legs still need a bit of work

Aaaaannnd the weapon in question, what will be a giant rusted meat cleaver

Ive got two ideas of how i want to pose the weapon:

A. Held forward and down with the other hand clutching a bag of torn limbs and viscera.
B. Arm held up with the cleaver braced across his shoulders with the other hand pointing at his next victim.

That looks absolutely hideous in the best possible way! Looking good. I would vote across its shoulder. But, if I may make a suggestion: what about across the chest with the other arm cradling the rest of the blade.

I have not been the person I was since I stopped being him.

Are we going to see some intestines spilling out of that abdomen in proper nurgle fashion?

Looking good. I voted for option b mostly because I think it will help with balance and weight distribution.

What did you use for the armature in the legs? If you find it start getting wobbly or having trouble supporting itself you can always have the blade resting on the base.

Managed to get a bit more time to work on him, finished up the stomach, sculpted the rippled flesh on the back and sculpted a bit of plaguey goodness on the legs, also had some time to nurgle up the cleaver a bit. And as requested, ENTRAILS pouring from his ruptured stomach.

For the armature, Im not sure what the stuff I used is called, their like really long lollypop sticks paper wrapped REALLY tight to create a solid tube, its pretty sturdy but I'm able to bend it when i need to, the amount of both normal GS and liquid GS on the armature has made it pretty solid.

Thought I would just update this post instead of making a new thread just to show my Daemon Prince in a slightly more up to date way.

Looking good, the final pose for the blade looks great.

Keep on updating!
