So I am working on a squad to go with a converted Emperors Champion that has undead wings (from the old carrion model from the VC line in WHFB), I wanted his squad to look sort of like a group of Chaosy Sanguine Guard, but I don't want to go with the cliche demon wings..... I have been looking for some undead wings but can't really find any...... So I turn to you modelers and converters O Dakka, anyone have any tips to make some undead wings?

I am poor to average with green stuff, but I can give it a go just not sure how to start, any tips?

(or better yet if you know some place other than Scibor that makes undead wings?)

Ooooohhhhhhhhh! I love this idea. I can't wait to see some inspiration and thoughts because I'm stumped too.

For the sanguiniary guard, I'd actually use the proper backpacks. If you painted the wings dark purple to look like raven wings, you'd already be at least halfway there.

That and you could clip some of the feathers off, or cut them shorter to make it look tattered. Throw some spikey bitz and there and you'd be good to go.

Here's a thought... make a jagged hole in a standard angel wing to expose the bones/muscles/corrupted flesh beneath. Leave it feathered overall, but add some decay and nastiness to it. It would be easier to drill a hole and sculpt some flesh/bones than it would be to sculpt new, feathery wings.
