This was my first time using Howlrunner. I rather like her!

Howlrunner is certainly a pain in the derrière/mandatory hero for TIE's.

Watched a few of your videos now, and want to know why you always deploy Dark Curse(?) on his lonesome away from the rest of the pack?

It usually breaks up my opponent's squads. Suddenly, half his squad is chasing just 16 points of mine, allowing 84 points of my squad to beat the crap out of the other half of his. Sometimes I even put Stealth on Dark Curse. Either way, I have never lost Dark Curse and the merry chase he leads has always been futile for the enemy and most advantageous for me as my other TIEs vector in on targets virtually unopposed.

Even when my opponent keeps his squadron together, he or she often zeroes in on Dark Curse because he is all alone and seems to be easy pickings, allowing me to know exactly where my opponent is going to move and allowing the rest of my TIEs to vector in from the flank and out of the firing arcs of most of the opposing ships.

Good question by the way!

Has anyone out there played against a bunch of Tie fighters and actually won a game yet?

Ive tried to beat the Tie- spam with a mixed fleet of rebels and have come close, but lost to a well timed barrel roll out of my forward arc....

Any other ideas for builds to get those pesky ties?

4 cheapo Y wings all with Ion cannons. Fly in pairs (in trail formation) and pull those pairs in counter rotating cirlcles (preferably around terrain if possible). My opponent spent most of the game with half his swarm unable to move as his ships were face to face, stunned from ion tokens and constantly bumping into each other (meaning no action tokens.). The others kept getting dragged through asteroids for more nickel and dime damage. Amusing for me. Not so much for him.

Y-Wings are one of the most underappreciated ships in the game. Four Y-Wings with ion cannons are truly deadly.

Gimme four skilled TIE/TIE Intercepter pilots and it'll quickly be three Y-Wings with Ion Cannons.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
