How does games get determined if there's timed rounds and there's no "victor" in tournaments? I've been playing for a while, and while I play quite fast, my opponents usually don't. I've been pressing them to start playing timed games by refusing to play a game over 2.5 hours, since I'm trying to get more competitive with my gameplay. The way most people have been interpreting it is both parties receive a loss, with each getting bonuses for killing 1-2 platoons. For example: my last game we played pincer. We called it due to time at the end of turn 6. He had not taken a objective, but still had 1 crocodile, 3 HMGs on my "half" of the table. I had killed 2 full platoons. He killed none. Final score was 3-1 me?
However this just doesn't feel right. Often in mobile and defensive missions the defender "wins" by pushing the attacker off his half of the board after turn six. This is extremely difficult, especially with the typical slow play that I'm seeing. (We MAY get to turn 7.)
Is there a way tournaments and GTs handle this? I've only been to one tourney thus far as there are no "veterans" in the local area. And in those games I either loss of win well before the time limit.
