Fredericton Gaming Expo has been gracious enough to host us wargammers for a few events while their event is going on.

"The Crucible of Souls" A Warhammer 40k Tournament

Size: 1850 Pts per player
Date: 10 Aug 2013
Time: Registration opens at 1000h, dice start to roll at 1100h
Duration: 4 rounds (2 hours each)
Cost: 20$ ($10 admission to expo, $10 to enter tournament)
Location: Capital Exhibition Centre (Fredericton)

Format:
This event will consist of 4 rounds, a hobby related quiz, and a best painted competition.
Prizes and Awards:
Emperor's Champion- Best combined quiz, painting, and battle score
Warmaster- Highest battle score
Praetor- 2nd Highest
Legate- 3rd Highest
Librarian- Best Quiz Score
Remembrancer- Best Painted

Army Construction/Force Selection Guidelines:
Armies will be chosen from the most current version of the following:
Codex Space Marines, Dark Angels, Space Wolves, Blood Angles, Black Templars, Dark Eldar, Eldar, Tau Empire, Chaos Space Marines, Chaos Daemons, Tyrannids, Grey Knights, Orks, Necrons or Sisters of Battle. As well as any applicable 6th edition supplements (ie Iyanden or Farsight Enclave)
Forge World units and army lists are NOT allowed. (however an FW model may still be used to represent a codex model, where applicable)

All Armies will be fully assembled/built and WYSIWYG (no your meltagun is not a flamer)

There is no painting requirement, however:
Best Painted Category: ARMY
Players who wish to compete for best painted will submit their army (as fielded in the tournament) in complete to be judged on painting during the Lunch break.

Rules Version:
We will be using the 6th edition rules of Warhammer 40k. All of the latest GW FAQ and Errata will be in effect.

-Army
-Codex
-Rulebook (if you have one)
-Dice
-Tape Measure
-2 Copies of your army list (one to play with and one for registration reasons)
-Objective markers (if you have any)
