I have been lurking on these forums for ages, slowly working up the courage to try to emulate some of the incredible painting and modelling I love seeing here. I haven't painted a figure for nearly 15 years, so I have to start from scratch - and my previous form dreadful anyway. I find it more fun to play than paint, but I also demand of myself that I field painted models... so I don't get to play much either. =)

The time has come for me to get my act together , to stop promising myself that I'll start soon, and actually do some Building and painting of the models I own. I aim for only a very basic tabletop standard, and move on from there.

Good luck, the modeling and painting forums are always teeming with very experienced opinions. We'd love to see what you come out with--practice makes perfect though. My first couple things I did looked abysmal but now with techniques I picked up here stuff looks great so never give up!
