Hi everyone,
I was wondering if it is remotely legal to create custom units with custom stats (within reason of course) for use in in Apocalypse. Now before anyone asks, no, I'm not talking about turning an IG Sentinel into a 5 structure point nuclear death machine with 10 void shields here.
I have four baneblades that I like to field as much as possible, I have access to literally every baneblade variant in GW/Forge World existence at the moment (via changing the weapon). However, I wanted to create a custom baneblade variant based on the Malcador Infernus so I can get some use out of a hellstorm template.
I want to modify a StormLord (Vulcan mega bolter) baneblade or a StormBlade (Plasma Cannon) baneblade to carry an Inferno Gun and properly use the hellstorm template based on the rules covered in the Imperial Armor Apocalypse 2nd Edition. Would it be prudent to include the "Highly Flammable" special rule in the use of my new FlameSword? Are there any other things I can consider to make this as acceptable as possible? Comments; concerns?

If your opponents are okay with it, and you do not make it super cheap, then I don't think many Apoc players will take issue with it.
However this is an issue to bring to your gaming group, we can not possibly answer the question if this would be allowed, only your opponents can give you the green light in this situation.

Right, I understand it ends up being a house rule, I was just looking for suggestions on making it as acceptable as possible, same points as the other baneblades, same armor and sponson arms. I hope no one sees Hellstorm templates at OP and will have a problem with that in general.
