Not really sure if this is where I should post this, but generally I'm just curious if anyone has heard of if or when GW is releasing new Necron models?

Thanks for any help or input

Their codex was the last released in 5th edition, which wasn't even 2 years ago. The only place they're getting new models is from Forgeworld, and those are going to be new specialist units and the like. So yeah, I'd say 2-3 years minimum, based on a rough 5 year update cycle for most armies.

Okay good to know! I just saw the other armies all getting little tidbits of new models and wondered if the Necrons were gonna get any love lol

They got a TON of love with their 5th ed codex. Before that there were precious few models, and very few options. Their codex was pretty explicitly written with 6th in mind.

Yeah, the 5th ed codex was a massive overhaul. I think they are one of the first releases who actually got all of their models too.

I don't think there is anything left from the codex to release.

If the thought of something makes me giggle for longer than 15 seconds, I am to assume that I am not allowed to do it.

Yep. Everything in the codex has a corresponding model so do not expect anything new Necron-wise for at least the next 3-5 years

We have a lot without a corresponding model in IA12, so the only models we might get are from FW.
Which is still awesome, since it would indicate we get a new Cryptek-like model (I am sick and tired of having a RCDI with 5 times the same model.)

And Kutlakh would make an awesome Necron Lord model.

We also get special Tomb Citadels in IA-Apoc, might mean more upgrades.

1. Buy a LG box.
2. Build them in 5 different ways.
3. ???
4. You got a full council, at a WAY lower price, where each member looks different.

Should use Warrior bodies for the Crypteks, since they have the T4 / 4+ statline.

Well if you are just asking for minis and not a new codex, Necrons got a new mini with Apocalypse. Also as was said, Forge World has some new minis for Necrons as well.

It's not a new codex, but it is new minis for 'Crons.

Forge World does have an alternate armylist for Necrons in one of the more recent Imperial Armour books as well.
