So I've been looking at quite a few small, elite armies recently, all at 1000 pts. This time I'm on to Chaos Daemons and the flying circus. One reason that I am interested, is that having 3 psychic FMC's is pretty cool. Secondly I could pick up the army pretty cheap, around $70 (Also, being in china, these models are actually available unlike some other armies.)
So onto the List:
HQ
Lord of Change - 1 exalted reward, 2 lesser rewards. 280pts
Troops
2 x Nurgling Swarm - 3 bases. 90pts
Heavy Support
2x Daemon Prince - wings, armour, tzeentch, Mastery level 3, 1 lesser reward. 630pts
Ok so the LoC will take the portalglyph to get more troops when needed, if it is a KP mission then something else will take its place.
The 2 lesser rewards will give him a staff and ether blade, giving him +1 attack and str 8.
Will most likely roll 2 dice on divination, Tzeentch powers are pretty mild.
The nurglings are the cheapest troop option available, leaving more room for points on FMC's. Portal glyph should help cover scoring troops if needed.
Daemon princes will roll 3 dice on Biomancy, hoping for powers to boost survivability. The lesser rewards will give them both staffs, allowing them to explode irritating challenging sergeants (and thereby hopefully not be held in place by a blob too long), and also getting up to str 8 for greater chance of insta-death/wounding wraithlords.
10 models for 1000 points. I know this could be an irritating list to play against depending on the codex being used, though not the most competitive of course. (Yes tau anti air should make a mess of it).
Any thoughts on the list?
