Hey dakkadakka, I'm planning a conversion using a Death Company Dread but as I am not a BA player I'm unsure as to what I'm seeing exactly.
More specifically the cylindrical subwoofer looking component just above the skull.

I'll be converting it to play as a Venerable Dreadnought so if they're meant to represent anything I'd rather not have them there.
Don't get me wrong, I think they look good up there and serve to generally beef up the model, I'm just aiming for wysiwyg

I'm also deciding if I should get this guy or just get a Ven Dread and buy a Death Company Dread faceplate/sarcophagus separate.
That's really the bit I'm after.

If you are not a BA player its hard to justified buying this, there is no weapons that you really need, (generic SM armies doesn't use 2 firsts, a frag cannon, nor a harlbred.

You know what? I have that bit spared since I didn't use it to make my dreadnought. PM me if you are interested, its already primed black though with GW primer.

Hahaha yeah it just makes me think of the people who would walk around with Boom Boxes on their shoulders in the 80's
