Geek Nation Tours is happy to present our tour to the world’s largest tabletop wargaming tournament – AdeptiCon. AdeptiCon has a multitude of gaming experiences for the discriminating wargamer. AdeptiCon offers tournaments using a variety of different wargaming systems, a huge amount of seminars and shopping too. It is a spectacle to be seen and experienced. Game with the very best, meet friends from around the world, and take part in the very best in gaming and painting seminars.

Geek Nation Tours was the first to bring you guaranteed AdeptiCon registration. We offered those that hop on the tour the opportunity to pre-register before the general public. This year is no exception - book prior to September 30th 2014 and you will be able to pre-register for all events in advance to them going public. Don’t come half way across the world only to have the spots you wanted disappear...

In addition to pre-public registration last year Geek Nation Tours gave you AdeptiCon’s Very Important Gamer package also before the public was even offered it (it also sold out in days last year). This year is no exception! The package includes Preferred Check-in, an AdeptiCon T-shirt, and an AdeptiCon glass – but most importantly you will get ½ hour advanced early entry to the Vender’s Hall. That's right! No waiting for hours in the Forge World line in 2014. If you want your resin you will be able to get it. Geek Nation Tours is trying its best to help all our international clients. Don’t have access to all the cool gaming venders at home? Come join us!

This year we have included both the VIG and Regular Adepitcon weekend pass in the tour price. Therefore all you need worry about is what tournaments and seminars you will attend. We love making it easier for our tour participants!

We also managed to pull together a few meals for you. The day you arrive we will be headed off to the Tilted Kilt - always a gamers favorite... Thursday night take part in our “AdeptiCon Welcome Dinner” and hear guest speakers from Black Library, 40K Radio and the AdeptiCon crew themselves. This year we are very happy to announce that Victoria Lamb will be joining us. Victoria is a multi slayer sword award winner and has a has an ultra cool miniatures company (Victoria Miniatures) to boot! winnerNot only that we will be adding speakers as we go forward... We will meet every night for dinner and if you can join us all are welcome. Friday we will head off for some Chicago Style Pizza at “Giordano's" and Saturday night we will venture off to exchange stories of battle over beer at the Rock Bottom Brewery. Finally, relax on Sunday as Geek Nation Tours has grabbed us some tickets to the AdeptiCon mixer and poker tournament. For those of you who are not poker players we will make sure several boardgames will be set out for some “beer and pretzels” style gaming. As a matter of fact 2013 saw the crew from the “D6 Generation” run a gaming night. And it was a dozy... Everyone agreed that it was one of the most enjoyable evenings of the whole trip.

Day 1 (Wednesday – April 2nd ): That's right Geek Nation Tours has added a day to the tour and we will go on a couple of extra adventures this year...

Arrival in Chicago with Private Transfers all the way to the Westin Lombard. Don't want to worry about getting to the hotel? We've got you covered! When we arrive Teras will show you around the hotel and make sure you know where all the Adepticon events will take place. Need to know where to go? Teras will be there to help get you going in the right direction. It will be hassle and stress free.

We will also be arranging two departures with the hotel shuttle to "Binny's Beverage Depot" today. So if you need to pick up some libations Geek Nation Tours has you covered there too...

Later, join us at the hotel for our exclusive “AdeptiCon Welcome” dinner. Guest appearances by “secret” Guests of Honour (with question and answer), Romeo from BattleFoam and 40K Radio will be there so we can pester him with any foam or podcasting questions that you may have. Most importantly, for all those looking for a bit of advice on how to game at AdeptiCon we will have an exclusive “AdeptiCon Survivor Tactics and history” presentation by the AdeptiCon crew.

In the past we managed to have Dan Abnett, Chris Wraight, C.L. Werner and Andy Smillie from Black Library and Victoria Lamb multi Golden Daemon award winner from Victoria Miniatures as our special guests. We were treated to a long, intimate and very fun Q & A at the “Welcome Dinner”. This year’s special guests are still in question but be sure that Geek Nation Tours will line up only the very best quests for you. We are going to add as many as possible to our “Welcome Dinner” so return often to keep updated. But with that said, this year we have changed things up a bit.. You will love our guests for 2014!

Plus no more line ups! Geek Nation Tours will be handing out all your event tickets, passes and swag at the "Welcome Dinner"....

Today you will see Geek Nation Tours at war!!!! Well not Geek Nation Tours but its tour participants!!! Well not "war" really - but Laser Tag!! Get to know your fellow tour participants as you put them to the blaster....See your foes fall before you even before you get to the Adepticon tables....

You can join us every night or you can do your own thing. Geek Nation Tours wants you to have the most freedom to "Geek Out" as possible so our meetings will be completely optional and you can come and go as you please.

Can't find us at night and want to hang? You can locate Teras by Facebook Places, Twitter or just ring him on his mobile.

We will join them for dinner (included in your price) and post dinner we will be offering at least two options for you to relax with some less competitive gaming. Whether it is poker, boardgaming or just hanging out at the bar this is sure to be a nice mellow end to an adventure filled weekend. Gen Con has a long history of offering the very best in gaming conventions. Dive into every type of gaming imaginable - roleplaying games, card games, boardgames, tabletop games and computer games, just to mention just a few. They even have Geek Speed Dating and a marathon..... Game to your heart’s content with old friends or the new ones you will meet.

Want to do some shopping or see what’s new in the gaming world? Are you interested in finding out about all the upcoming releases for the next year? Perhaps you would like to mingle with celebrities from the gaming world and see what they are working on. Maybe you want to pit your gaming skills against the best in the world or perhaps try out a few games that you have always wondered about. Gen Con is the best place in the world to do all these things. There will also be plenty of time to get some photos with cool Cosplay people or even wear a costume yourself!

Geek Nation Tours always makes sure there is plenty to do prior to Gen Con proper and 2014 will be no exception as we will continue to offer exclusive gaming opportunities. Each year our tour participants get to game with the people that design, develop and produce the games they love. This year our theme will be Classic Science Fiction and Starship simulators! First off we will be playing the new hotness from Stronghold Games – Space Cadets Dice Duel! Stephen Buonocore (owner of Stronghold Games) and the game designer (Geoff Engelstein) will be there to teach us this simple to play, fast and furious super fun new release. They will also sit down and roll some dice with us and thus this is a great opportunity to visit and game with creators themselves.

The Kentucky Fried Gamers crew will be a large part of our “Space Cadet” extravaganza and as a matter of fact we will be joining them and their membership for much of the time while we are at Gen Con. If you ever wanted to be a part of the Gen Con community this is your chance! You are sure to leave the tour with new gaming friends from all around the world. Oh and since we will be playing Dice Duel in a brewhouse each tour participant will enjoy a Beer Sampler from Scotty’s and the Thr3e Wise Men Brewing Company. And if all goes well we will be joining the KFG crew on a Pub Crawl Tuesday night. This way you can “have a few” with members of the Gen Con community, game and talk to like-minded people that love games well into the night

“We want more Sci-Fi gaming goodness!” you say? Ever wanted to be on the bridge of a Starfleet ship as they run through a “Kobayashi Maru-like” training exercise? Think you can do better? Well this time there will be no re-programming as we hop aboard a 2 hour total emersion experience with the incredibly popular Artemis: Spaceship Bridge Simulator. Tried Artemis before? Not like this you haven’t. You will be in full costume and everyone knows your drill sergeant is not the friendliest of people…

Are you a Gen Con newbie or a veteran? Both will appreciate Geek Nation Tours ability to make the registration process easier for all. While your 4-day Gen Con badge is included in the tour package, you will still have to register for events. To that end, we will be arranging two pre-registration conference calls via Skype to help expedite the registration process and to help everyone choose the events they want. Are you slightly overwhelmed by the registration procedure? Not sure what to register for when the cart opens? Worried that you might be missing the very best in seminars or gaming opportunities? Let Geek Nation Tours ease your mind. We will be joined by the D6 Generation crew for our Pre-Registration Conference calls, which will take place in the spring of 2014. Even before we arrive in Indianapolis, Geek Nation Tours will endeavour to make the Gen Con experience exceptional…

We will also be hosting our traditional “Welcome and How to Get the Best out of Your Gen Con” dinner on this tour. This year we will be joined by the crew of the D6 Generation Podcast (Gen Con veterans) and Tom Vasel and Eric Summerer from the Dice Tower Podcast. All will give us tips on how to best experience our convention. Further, we are proud to announce that we will be again handing out our badges and event tickets as well! That’s right, no ticket pickup lines and no delivery costs for any items that are pre-registered for by June 30th! We will deliver them right into your eager hands. Our welcome dinners are always informative and loads of fun. From here we will head north and stop for lunch at the “Castle Stalker View Café” in Appin… We will dine here and reminisce about Monty Pythons search for the Holy Grail movie. Who knows we might even be able to find some coconuts so we ride our “horses” while we enjoy the view (for the uninitiated here is a clip).

Eilean DonanAfter lunch we will continue north with a quick stop at Glen Coe. Glen Coe is famous worldwide for not only its natural splendor but also for the many film clips of the area used in the movie “Braveheart”. Glen Coe was also the site of the Glen Coe Massacre that took place in 1692. Although we will only make a quick stop the area demands that we make the slight detour to see it.

From here we will again head north and have a photo op at the famous Eilean Donan Castle. The castle is famous worldwide for its beautiful setting and was filmed extensively for the movie “Highlander” (again another clip for the uninitiated)…

Again we will have the pleasure of being guided by a local professional guide that will give us in depth information about the Battle of Stirling Bridge and the First War of Scottish Independence (Battle of Bannockburn)... We will also discover the Stirling Castle and the Wallace Monument.

After our tour of Stirling we will head off to Edinburgh to have as a group on Geek Nation Tours dime… Don’t worry though - we are sure there will be another pub or two taken in tonight in addition to the meal.

We will be staying the night at the Holiday Inn Edinburgh

Day 7 – September 26th (Friday)

Today we will explore Edinburgh as we head out for the day to the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. The Royal Palace, St. Margaret’s Chapel and the National War Museum of Scotland are all housed within the castle walls – so we will be busy well into the day. You will be on your own after our visit to stroll down the Royal Mile and visit is shop and pubs.

Edinburgh Castle Some of us however will be itching to get a game in and we have been invited to stop and roll some dice at the Edinburgh Games Hub. This is a great place for us to stop as it is a community based club and store that has an extensive library of board, card, RPG and tabletop games.

We will be staying the night at the Novotel Birmingham Airport

NECDay 9 - September 28th (Sunday)

Today we will get to take in Games Day UK! As we will be staying in The Novotel Birmingham all we have to do is roll out of bed, eat breakfast and take a 90 second train ride to the NEC for today’s event. The hotel is “next door to the NEC” so you can easily haul all your loot back to your room. NOTE: GNT currently is aware that Games Workshop will be holding Games Day UK 2013 at the NIA. As we get closer to the date we examine the benefits of switching our hotel to one closer to the NIA if Games Day UK is held there in 2014.

This being the case Geek Nation Tours cannot confirm this part of the tour until that time. With that said if Games Workshop was to change the historical date and place of Games Day we have plans to visit local gaming stores or extend our visit to Warhammer World by a further day. The above tour dates are set in stone. As we get closer to the date we will release more details on Games Day UK. Email me anytime for more information at: headgeek@geeknationtours.com.

Note: because of the above GNT may need to add some additional charges if we need to change the exact date of the tour OR if we need to move a hotel to a closer location to the venue.

Gaming while on tour – there will be many chances for spontaneous gaming throughout the tour. In the past the hotels have supplied us with tables and gaming areas and we were happy to be able to game to our hearts content after returning to our hotel in the evening

Promotions!:

As is tradition, we will have our “Titanic Surprise Draw" again this year. During one of our many pub visits we will have a Dice Off! For each month you book prior to the departure you will be given one six sided dice. All tour participants will roll off to see if they will become the winner of our 2014 promotion.

We can't tell you exactly what it is but it comes from the UK, has two really big guns, has to do with war, is themed after a hound, and is Titanic! Fantasy player? No worries! You are included too...With magic we can "zap" that Titan into your favorite alternative miniture....

That’s right! Let Geek Nation Tours do your resin crack shopping for you…. Book early to secure your “dice” and increase your odds on bringing something home on us.

Additional Options: Want a few extra days in the UK to chill out or want to go to other places in Europe after the tour? Geek Nation Tours will be more than happy to arrange it for you. Simply email us at headgeek@geeknationtours.com or put a quick note in the "Special Requests" box when you book.

The "Geeking Out with Miniatures in the UK" Tour has two days that passengers can add loads of additional tours into. Geek Nation Tours can help you find a tour that is right for you. Contact us at headgeek@geeknationtours.com for suggestions to enhance your tour now.

Geek Nation Tours Offically Releases Feudal Japan and Battlefields of Sekigahara Tour

Spoiler:
We have officially released our Feudal Japan tour and if you are interested please hop on board asap... The tour is already 50% sold and so if you want to join us for some Samurai goodness please book asap...

You can secure a spot with no money down at: and see the full tour description at: http://www.geeknationtours.com/index.php?pageid=31&tourid=7

As usual I have posted the tour description below (but for all the pretty pictures go to the above link) ....

Signature Battlefield Series: Feudal Japan and the Battlefields of Sekigahara

Geek Nation Tours is proud to continue our Signature Battlefield tours with our Samurai and the Battlefields of Sekigahara tour. On October 21st 1600 Tokugawa Ieyasu lead his forces on the plains of Sekigahara to an eventual victory that would change the course of Japanese history. This battle is one of the most famous of all Samurai battles to take place in Japan’s long history.

The tour will be built around areas of Japan that still give one the feeling of living in those ancient times. It is our goal to take you back to the time of Samurai. So join us as we explore not only this battlefield in detail but also a wide range of Samurai related sites. The first days of our tour bring us to the Seki Cutlery festival which is dedicated to blades of all sorts. We will see sword making demonstrations, the Seki Sword Tradition Museum and an outdoor knife show where you can purchase blades of your own. We will then slow the tour down and just like ancient times we will be forced to hike by the Shogunate (your Geek Nation Tours representative) between Magome and Tsumago. The road was well traveled by Samurai in ancient times and feels like a journey into the past. We will continue will visit a traditional Japanese onsen or two as the Samurai used these hot springs to sooth aching bones… Castles will also be on the list and as such we will visit some of the very best - Matsumoto and Himeji Castles. We will visit the small city of Takayama and journey back in time in its timeless temples and streets.

With this said, Sekigahara does play a big part in what we will see and we are lucky as we will be in Japan for the annual Battle of Sekigahara Festival… We will be able to see reenactors dressed in traditional Samurai garb and explore the details of the battle…

You will be treated to at least two guides for this tour. We will have a local guide with use for most of the tour and your Geek Nation Tours representative studied in Japan. You will be well covered for all things Japanese.

If you ever dreamt of living in ancient Japan this is the tour for you!

Day 1 (Friday October 10th):

Today we will arrive from all around the world into Nagoya. You will be given detailed instructions on how to meet the rest of the tour at our hotel (always remember you will be in constant contact with our representative). From there you will have a free day to explore all that Nagoya has to offer…. Whether that is seeing the Toyota Museum of Industry and Technology, the Nagoya Public Aquarium, Nagoya City Science Museum, Toganji Temple or just hanging out and shopping on the famous Osu Shopping Street….

When everyone has arrived however your Geek Nation Tours representative will start our exploration into all things Samurai by visiting the Nagoya Castle or the Tokugawa Art Museum.

Day 2 (Saturday October 11th):

Today we will hop on the train to travel from Nagoya to Seki. We will arrive right in a town celebrating one of its largest festivals. We will have two days to explore the Seki Cutlery Festival. Seki has a long history of producing the finest quality swords and blades. The area has been doing this for over 900 years and today we will get a taste of this tradition. Throughout the town we will see sword-forging and polishing demonstrations, cutting and sheathing performances and sword collection displays. We will also explore the outdoor knife show that boasts a multitude of stalls for all those interested in purchasing any type of blade. Breakfast included

MakingDay 3 (Sunday October 12th): Seki

Today we will visit all remaining aspects of the festival including the Seki Sword Tradition Museum and return to the outdoor knife show. A private local guide will be with us today to help explain the sword making process and to give us deeper details into the festival itself. We will also tour a local Kendo (way of the sword) or Kyudo (way of the bow) dojo and see how these traditions still live in Japan.

Japanese Street FoodRemember a key ingredient to enjoying any festival in Japan is to eat from a street vendor or two. So this is where we are going to eat on days 2 and 3. We will also enjoying the odd Japanese beer as we take in the whole day to enjoy what the festival has to offer. Breakfast included

Day 4 (Monday October 13th):Trail between Magome and Tsumago

Today we will board the train once more and arrive in Magome to hike the Magome/Tsumago trail. Our bags will be transferred to our Ryokan in Tsumago. Ryokan are traditional Japanese hotels that are still in use today. We will sleep on tatami and eat just as explorers did in ages bygone.

The trail itself is 8 km long and is what remains of the Nakasendo - the route through the Kiso Valley which connected Tokyo and Kyoto. It is not a difficult hike and will put you in the spirit of ancient Japan.

When we arrive in Tsumago we will be pleasantly rewarded with a town which looks virtually untouched for centuries. Tsumago is a traditional post town that welcomed visitors on the path to and from Tokyo. It is one of the best preserved post towns in Japan and is like visiting an open air museum. The residents go to great lengths to recreate the ambiance of the Edo Period. Cars, phone and power lines are all kept hidden to better let visitors imagine that they have been transported to ancient times.

Breakfast and Dinner included

If we have time we will visit the Kyodokan Folk Museum or just settle in for a traditional meal and beverages.

Day 5 (Tuesday October 14th):Matsumoto Castle

Day 5 will see us on the train again on the road to Matsumoto to visit its wonderful castle. Matsumoto castle is one of the most beautiful and historically intact castles in all of Japan. It was built during the Sengoku Jidai (Warring States Period) around 1593 (the same time period of course as Sekigahara). It was never attacked in those times and also avoided being so during World War II. Matsumoto is known as the black castle and this hirajiro (a castle built on a plain) is both forbidding and beautiful.

We will spend the day at the castle and have some free time in the evening to have dinner on our own as we explore this bustling country town.

Breakfast inlcuded

Day 6 (Wednesday October 15th):

Today we will head off to the Japanese Alps by motor coach and visit the onsen town of Hiraya. The onsens in this area are said to have been discovered in the 1560s by Takeda Shingen’s troops as the passed through the area. We will visit two onsen today - the Hiayu no Mori and Hirayu Minzokukan. We will again stay at a traditional ryokan and if possible head off to another onsen in the morning of Day 7 like the Okudida Garden Hotel Yakedake onsen.

Breakfast and Dinner included

Day 7 (Thursday October 16th):

We will continue our travels by motor coach and leave Hirayu to visit Takayama. Takayama is a favourite for people visiting this area. Takayama is known for the Sanmachisuji or “Old Town” that is wonderfully preserved with many houses and shops dating from the Edo Period (1600-1868). Later this day we will get a tour of a small traditional Sake distillery and visit several others. We will stay in Old Town for most of the day or wander Takayama at will…before retiring for a traditional meal at our ryokan.

Breakfast and Dinner included

Day 8 (Friday October 17th):

We will spend a full day in Takayama today. For those wanting to get a bit of rest this is the day for that… For anyone interested however our representative will be headed off to visit Takayama Jinya (A traditional Japanese government office used during the Edo period) and the local morning market. If time presents itself we will visit two... One near the Jinya and one on the Miyagawa River.

After this we will have a slow walk through the Higashiyama Walking Course which will bring us to the Teramachi area that has over a dozen temples and shrines and the beautiful Shiroyama Park. The park is also the former site of the Takayama Castle and we can discover its ruins here… It is here that we will again see the calmer side of Japan and be able to envision it in the days of the Samurai.

Breakfast included

Day 9 (Saturday October 18th):

Today we will take the train form Takayama to Sekigahara. The town will be in the gearing up for the annual Battle of Sekigahara Festival and enthusiasts and reenactors will be gathering here from all around the country. The goal of the festival is to turn the clock back to 1600 and you will see many people walking around in full Samurai armour and you will even see warring clan period related goods sold in outdoor markets. There are live stage events and loads of demonstrations reminiscent of the time period. We will again hop into the festival spirit and celebrate as the locals do - who knows you might even meet a Samurai or two...

Breakfast included

Day 10 (Sunday October 19th):

Today we will watch the Sekigahara Battle re-enactment and again participate in the festival. There will be plenty of time to take in some of the spots we missed or to revisit things we saw yesterday. With that said we will have a local private guide to take us on a visit of the Sekigahara battlefield so we can dive into the history of the battlefield itself.

Breakfast included

Day 11 (Monday October 20th):

Today many will be returning home and will thus take the early train from Sekigahara to Nagoya. You will be given instructions on how to get to the airport and sent on your way to return home and the present day.

Breakfast included

Extension:

Day 11 (Monday October 20th):

For those staying with the tour for a few more days we will travel from Sekigahara to Kyoto. Here you will have a free day. There are tonnes of temples and shrines to see in Kyoto – too many to list actually... But you are free to wonder on your own or to visit some popular ones with our Geek Nation Tours representative.

We will gather for dinner to welcome all the extension participants to Kyoto and to tell each other what we did that day… As a matter of fact past tour participants agree that our meet-ups are an important part of the tour experience - a time where you can get to know other Geeks and maybe hear a great suggestion or two on what to do the following day, exchange “war stories” and have loads of fun. You can join us every night or you can do your own thing. Geek Nation Tours wants you to have the most freedom to "Geek Out" as much as possible so our meetings will be completely optional and you can come and go as you please.

Breakfast and Dinner included

Day 12 (Tuesday October 21st)

Today we will see Kyoto in a very specific light. We will slow down our pace, travel by foot and visit a few of the more spiritual places in this ancient city. We will visit Ryoan-ji. This Zen temple is known worldwide for its rock and sand garden. It is the finest of all rock gardens in Japan and is said to have been founded in the 1400s. It is said to bring together many aspects of Zen Buddhism and acts to clear the mind and cleanse the spirit.

From here we will visit an often forgotten walk through this city. The Philosopher’s walk takes us from Nansenji Temple to the often missed Ginkakuji (Silver Pavilion). We will take our time on the walk stopping for lunch at one of the many restaurants along the way. If we have time we will visit Honen-in also or many of the other temples in the area.

Kyoto and in particular this area has a means of sheltering us from the business of normal city life and you will again be transported to the past.

We will look for a restaurant on our way home to have dinner and then we will be free to explore Kyoto by night.

Breakfast included

Day 13 (Wednesday October 22nd):

Today we will go to perhaps the most famous castle in Japan – Himeji Castle. We will leave Kyoto via Shinkansen or Bullet Train and head south. The journey will take us pass the Japanese country side and may not give you a particular Samurai-esque feel, however you will see how Japanese travel on a daily basis.

Currently renovations to Himeji are in full swing. There is a possibility that our late arrival in 2014 will allow us access to the castle or a special view of the end phases of the reconstruction. If however this is not the case we will explore more of Kyoto this day and have our final meal together in one of its many traditional restaurants.

Breakfast and dinner included

Day 14 (Thursday October 23rd):

All good things must end, unfortunately, and today we return to the Kyoto airport and depart for home. The photos, memories and friendships you made on the tour are yours to keep forever!

Breakfast included

Limited Space: This tour will be maxed out at 20 participants. Our normal max is 35 however Japan has some issues with finding hotel and dining space for more than that passenger count. Further this is a very personal tour as I have spent some time in Japan and my major in University was East Asian Studies focusing on Feudal Japan. This will be a homecoming of sorts and the tour I always wanted to do... So book soon

I went on this tour last year because I was late registering and it was more than I was expecting. From the time I stepped out of the airport to the time I went home the following Monday, the experience was amazing! Teras' smiling face greeted me and walked me around the hotel touring me on where the events would be held. Walked me to the front desk to check-in and I truly felt like a VIP.

There were so many games to play and everywhere you go, you will meet up with the other tour participants. I picked up 3 new games (Deep Wars, Wreck-Age and BloodBowl), 2 new starters (Dark Age Kukulkani and Warmachine Trollbloods). Two of the games I already had, I finally learned to play (Firestorm Armada and Malifaux) from people I met at the welcome dinner. At the end of the weekend, you get to meet even more people in the after con mixer with lots of boardgames sponsored by the gang from the D6 Generation. I didn't get to play any Zombicide which I was hoping to do but I did learn Pandemic and Bloodbowl.

I already registered for 2014 because Teras can guarantee you a spot in the events with pre-registration before the public is allowed to register. There were a few tournaments and seminars I was not able to go to.

Great food, great people and great gaming.

PS - Teras, shoot me a line when you are in Las Vegas!

Very pumped about this today...

In addition to our special guests Derek Osborne and Spence Reeves from CMoN and podcasters Independent Characters, Overlords, Ohiohammer and 40K Radio we are very pleased to announce the following:

Chris Borer will be joining us for Welcome Dinner as our special guest painter and Adepticon crew representative. He has tonnes of experience with both and his talk should be interesting and loads of fun…

Chris has been in the hobby for over 30 years; quietly losing games and winning painting awards, including a quartet of Slayer Swords. He has helped build the hobby side of Adepticon as the self-styled Hobby Seminar Czar. Much of his work can be seen on his website as he ever so slowly expands into sculpting.

Golden Demons (dating back to the 90’s) http://demonwinner.free.fr/peintres.php?crit=nb_tropheed

If the weather holds Black Library will be back in the house with Geek Nation Tours for our 2014 Welcome Dinner. It should prove to be tonnes of fun and expect an interesting exchange between me and the BL Crew… I just am finishing up First Heretic…. We are super pumped to have Graham McNeill, Andy Smillie and David Annandale at our tables!
