Hey people, I've got an RTT coming up at Brother's Grimm in Long Island, I'm moving to the area soon and the meta seems to be for larger games then I'm used to. I'm having trouble working out what to spend the extra 300 points on, I want the list to be fairly competitive but it has a fluffy aspect. EIther way, heres my slightly more than 1500 list.

HQ

Coteaz

Troops

5 Deathcultists + axes/swords, 5 Crusaders + axes

5 Deathcultists + axes/swords, 5 Crusaders + axes

12 warriors - 9 bolters, 3 plasma guns

12 warriors - 9 bolters, 3 plasma guns

7 Warriors + Bolters, 3 servitors + plasma cannons

Fast Attack

Storm Raven - Lascannon + Multi-Melta

Storm Raven - Lascannon + Multi-Melta

Heavy Support

Dreadknight + Incinerator, teleporter

Dreadknight + Incinerator, teleporter

I'm really quite stuck with this, I can't include any Marine units, all the 'grey knight' stuff is already converted. I do have about 4k worth of guard for allies though, something I've been considering!

thanks chaps,

Maxi

If you are going for gunline coteaz, grab some monkey's for your gunline squads. A pair of monkey's for each squad is your best chance for their customization to work and they bring some nice heavy guns to the party. Might want to drop the 3rd squad and get the servitors in the monkey squads if you need points.

Another inquisitor would also be a good call. Terminator armor, psycannon and psyker is a great combo.

Now, put all of this behind an ADL with a quad gun and you are golden.

Another option would be to chimera up your inquiz squads(I would still grab some chimps). You could also boost your DCA/crusader squads with a techmarine loaded to the teeth with grenades, but I would give your gunline some boosting first.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

To parrot some of Dr. Serling's post...

Some possibilities:
+ Aegis Line
+ Inq HQ (term armor+psyker+psycannon =110 pts)
+ Chimera for Coteaz and 2nd Inq
+ Plasma servitor (3) + jokaero (2) sq for 2nd Inq
+ 2 Jokaero for Coteaz squad

Take a librarian with some skulls and some terminators. Basically, if you only run henchmen, other armies are more mobile or more shooty. A librarian with either a few terminators or fewer paladins gives you a very potent threat you can drop in their face. You seem to be relying pretty heavily on the death cult + crusader squads (150 points in each, 10%) but you have no delivery system for them other than maybe the storm ravens?

It looks like the only reason you're playing GK at all is for the two dreadknights. The best things in the codex are: Coteaz, ServoSkulls, scoring terminators, and psycannons. You're building a list with only one of those!

Henchmen armies can work, but you need chimeras and divination powers. Previous posters have given good advice, 2x in the Servitors squad (Jokaero are expensive for the others). Your DCA+Crusader squads need movement, that means either taking a HUGE gamble by putting them in storm ravens or getting chimeras.
