Howdy, folks.
Longtime
40k fan, and lurker here for the last six months or so,but rarely played a match. In my life. Something I'd like to change.
Started wargaming back when Space Marine Epic still had the Squat Warriors box for sale.

After that initial delve into the universe, I gave Necromunda a whirl with a Cawdor Gang, and from there I was drawn to the Dark angels & the Space Wolves.
After trying to put together a Space Wolf army together, life put an end to that quickly, and I was mostly out of the hobby. That was 1997.
Still kept a long eye on the wargaming world, even though I was mostly roleplaying games with friends over the next ten years. The
40k universe was still homely, even if
GW love to kill off my favorite races...
So onto the now. I'm 33, have no kids, and a fairly sizable disposable income. Heheheheheh...
Finally I have built a
40k army worth throwing against someone elses.
For the last year or so I've been painting and collecting Dark Angels.
(Got a little lucky that
DV was chaos v
DA, so I poicked up a box & now I also have a sizable secondary force of chaos that is asking for paint.)
My collection to build a list from is as follows;
10 Deathwing terminators (5 melee, 5 ranged)
5 Deathwing Knights, Magnetised
10 Ravenwing Bikes, 1 Attack Bike & the three
DV bikes
3 Ravenwing Land Speeders, 2 of those typhoon.
10 Veterans
10 Scouts, 5 with sniper rifles & 5 magnetised
10 Assault Marines (Cause jump packs are pretty, not really for viable 'fluffworthy' fighting)
5 Devastators.
10 Tactical Marines, with a further ten basecoated
1 Dreadnaught
THREE old school rhinos (Are they even legal?), with conversions for two of them to be Vindicators, if desired.
About ten
misc Independent Character/
HQ models, and one custom extremely pissed Angry Marine. Pissed because I haven't based him yet.
Nearly everything is in a excellent level of paint, other than a few recent additions.
I've just finished book 12 in the
HH books too.
Nice to meet you all, if there is anyone in my neck of the woods, come teach me how to play an actual game, instead of wistfully painting my days away.
