This is my WIP Sabre Defence Platform for WW2-themed Guard list. I used 2 FLAK 36/37 kits from Zvezda and in about an hour had everithing in place:

To Do:
- add combined trigger for both cannons;
- add circular platform to better match original model (though it may look too hi-tech for WW2-themed army);
- add more wires/cables (see above);
- add "canonical" laser-cannon muzzels;
- paint the whole thing;
- make second one and make it look better than first .

After creating a SDP I had a spare gun mount and decided to bring it to a good use. After looking through my bits-box I've found an old sprue with twin-linked las-cannon from the Predator kit and some useful bits from Land Raider. In about ten minutes I've got a quite decent Tarantula Sentry Gun model:

I used magnets to attach turret to the mount and let it rotate freely.

Time have passed, and work moved on (though family life made it much slower than desired ).

Sabre Defence Platform is basecoated and ready to be painted:

Lascannon Tarantula is basecoated too:

... while Tarantula with Heavy Bolters is constructed from scracth, basecoated:

... and magnetized to be easily converted into Hyperios Air Defence Battery:

Now I'll have to do a little paintjob...
