Hi guys

So I was looking at some info on Failbaddon's 13th Black Crusade, and I was surprised to learn it was a world wide campaign GW ran in 2003. The outcome was a minor Chaos victory as they got a foothold on Cadia, yet the dominance of space goes to the Imperium, thus entrapping the Traitors planetside. This occurred on 999.M41, which means that we're on the eve of the 42 Millennium.

Has there anything been established on where the universe is going? I feel like GW doesn't progress the lore much further than 999.M41 (though I read somewhere the Ciaphas Cain books extend past that.)

Are we going to ever see the 42nd Millennium? Or would that ruin the lore in some way?

How about finishing the 13th Black Crusade? So far, it seems to be the most successful.

Discuss away, fellow wargamers.

Actually the outcome was a major Chaos victory and a near-crushing defeat for the Imperium. Cadia was left a blasted rock with Creed being forced to fall back time and time again from Kasrs that Chaos has left burning in their wake, and the fact that the Imperium has control of the space around Cadia matters only if the GW writers fail to remember that the forces of Chaos can open Warp Gates to transport material through.

In the current 6th ed, though, they have rolled back time a bit, so that the invasion of Cadia is only now just beginning, rather than nearing its conclusion and the total loss of the planet.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.
