Wow, that's rough. I just checked Dakka's store finder. It looks like there isn't a shop within 50 miles of you. The closest one seems to be just east of Montgomery, Alabama.
However, no store doesn't necessarily mean no gamers, so here's hoping someone here on Dakka lives in your area.
Good luck.

As Chute 82 pointed out, there is a store on Victory Drive called Columbus Book Exchange and Comics.
It does not appear to be a game store, but they may be able to get you in touch with any local gaming groups.
Hope this helps.

There is a guy in Auburn AL trying to get a group started. It's about 45 miles closer to you than Montgomery. Gaming in Montgomery is not the best. Very hard to get games up. i live in Montgomery and i am waiting for the Auburn group to get started.

On Dakka he was Eldanar. In our area, he was Lee. R.I.P., Lee Guthrie. |

Been trying to find 40k players in the Columbus area myself. If your still looking let me know we can set up a game some time (Moxie Games, has both tables and sells 40k). If you don't mind though, if you found a group let me know where the heck all the players are! 40k players are like Sasquatch around here. I've heard legends, seen a few grainy picts, seen evidence that they exist but, as of yet, no concrete sightings.

Thanks, I've recently just found the shops, but the problem is in locating the players. People are buying the products, so I know someone who plays 40k frequents the shops, but I can never manage to meet them. Been scouring 40k related boards, seeing if I can track down people who play. Can't manage to get any replies. I frequently work out of town, and when I'm in I'm usually working around 60 hours a week (work plus travel). Doesn't leave me with alot of time to just post up at a shop and hope someone comes buy. Guess that I was lucky that when I got into this game the area I lived in had a huge active community at the time.

Going to he redundant, but feel free to visit our giga-Bites forum, we regularly have Columbus players here so you may have luck posting on it, or if you get a free weekend, make a trip up and visit us in Atlanta.

I'm going to be moving to the area this august. I currently play a host of 40k armies and WOC in WFB. Hit me up and we can hopefully get something going.
