After about of week of sculpting, cutting, mixing green stuff, gluing bits an' pieces on and painting, I've finally made the Ork, who's best known from the Dawn of War series.
I'm really proud of how he turned out, since I did lose some motivation in the process of making him. Anyway, enjoy some images of him!
I've even magnetized his legs and body from each other, just to ease the transportation of him.
Just thought I'd share it with you fellas.

All that work and you couldn't drill out the gun barrels? For shame!
That aside, I quite like him. Nothing in particular blows my mind (not to say that it's crude, of course), but everything works together nicely, leaving an overall impression greater than the sum of its parts. Solid work!

Mostly because I do not have a drill.

I actually didn't read the thread title but as soon as I saw your conversion my immediate thought was "Hey I know that ork!!"
Great conversion my friend!
In terms of criticism, he might benefit from a bit of highlighting in some strategic areas. Also, a few custom details look a little too rough (yes, even for an ork)
Aside from that he's looking more than ready to raise a waagh

Awesome conversion, looks way better than the actual 3d model by far Nice grim and battered paint job too, very orky. Have you got any more plans for DOW characters?

Highlightning isn't really one of my strongest points because, well I never use it. (Boo! Hiss!) But thanks for the criticisme anyway. c:

I might have skipped a few details from the 3d model, but hey it does look better! (And less glitchy. With that, I'm talking about the arm going into the shoulder plate. 'Tis not natural, even for an Ork!)
And I might. Even if my other armies are Necrons and Chaos (Nurgle mostly), I have been thinking about buying a Space Marine commander's set, and make (Chapter Master) Gabriel Angelos. But if I do, he'd just stand there gathering dust, since I don't play (or collect) Space Marines anymore. (They were even Blood Ravens, but now they've become nurgle's servants. Poor sodz.)

Chaos you say? An Eliphas the Inheritor ( DoW: DC) model would be sublime

I'll be honest, the paint job is good, but I think you've got a ways to come in skill. With that out of the way, I recognized this Ork the second I saw the photo - spot on! This is a great, simple conversion that is very clean and matches your source perfectly. Very nice!

Except that I'm not really that much of a fan of him, since I prefer a more "Nugly" lord to command my Plague Marines alongside my GUO.

I don't really know what you mean exactly, but I'll just assume that you mean I still got some things to learn about painting (in which you're completely right. ). And thanks! It did require quite a lot of photos from DoW: DC, but I knew it was worth it!

By that I mean yes, more highlights, cleaner lines and so on. Just trying to be helpful and supportive of your conversion.

Ah, alright then. Thanks for that (although as I already said, I'm really no good at highlighting, and I probably won't really use it. )
