Hi all,
I played a Kan Wall in 5th, and I know they're not quite as viable now in 6th. I took a stab at a 6th edition list, but haven't even picked up my rule book yet. I'm looking for some thoughts on this list, trying for a shooty green tide.
HQ
Big Mek
KFF
Cybork
95 pts
Elites
3 x Lootas x 15
225 pts
Troops
4 x 30 Shoota boyz
Nob, PK, 3 x BS
FA
Dakkajet
Extra Supa Shoota
130
4 x Deffkopta
TL Rokkits
Exactly 2K. Lootas, Dakkajet and Koptas harass targets boyz can't handle while the boyz move to objectives and move to assault. Not really a fan of any ork armor...

Well, it looks decent enough for an Ork list. I always ask, is this 1999+1 or true 2k with double FOC? Big difference.

Rule #1 is Look Cool. |

Your certianly on the right track with the lootas and mass boyz.
Got a question for you, could your lootas use some aegis deffence lines? it cheap and with all those boyz in front i dont think you need to worry about flamers ignoring it
Could your army use some mobility? i'm sure you can find room for buggies/halftracks or something cheap. or instead of mobility you could add artillery like grot cannons (cant remember what the real name is for this unit sorry)

Yep, what you've got here is a pretty standard shooty tide. However, theres a few things that your doing that will probably hold you back here.
You'll get better mileage from Lootas if you use squads of 10. Save a bucket of points and being able to G2G is pretty major. Units of 15 are generally just overkill and more kills for blast weapons heading their way.
If your not using your Heavy slots, take three units of Big Guns. Kannons are fantastic and versatile, and due to their extreme toughness and low cost don't be afraid to run them right up the front of your army. Lobbas are amazing anti-infantry, but we're already generally pretty good at that. I use them for nailing troops, mortars etc hiding out of LoS
Nobs are a terrible waste of points on a foot tide. Challenge rules really, really hurt them and they're not worth it just for the bosspole.
Koptas should be run in solos. Your gonna have big trouble with them in pairs due to a 50% rout chance when one dies, and then a 3d6 flee distance - say goodbye to 45 points.

Well I was thinking to use the double FoC to run all the Deffkoptas solo as Green Barons. I really like the idea of dropping down to ten lootas. That makes a lot of sense to me. Dropping the nobs and dropping the lootas gives me enough room to take another dakkajet and a full complement of 9 kannons. Makes it even shootier if you ask me! Thanks so much for the advice and now I have to figure out the best way to make some cheap kannons!

Honestly man, if you can double force it consider twice as many units of five lootas and then either double the kannons or split them into smaller units.
Simple Ork checklist
~Spare Elites slots? Take 5-man Loota units
~Spare Heavy? Take Big Guns
~Spare Fast? Forgeworld permitted? Grot Bomm Launchas

To have a double force org you need an aditional HQ choise.
