Was thinking I might skip Sims 4 after having partial fun with Sims 3 but still annoyed with some issues which come with a detailed neighborhood and troubles if you required a redesign, but with the first gameplay trailer I find myself very excited on some of the concepts on show.

The simpler but more intuitive house design, that looks like will allow for speedier construction, and a much simpler way to remodel things immediately caught my eye. I'm also liking the redesign for create a sim, seems it'll make parodies of fantasy races a lot easier.
However the emotions based game play could be a massive change of direction, added much more than anything from the jump from Sims to Sims 2 or Sims 3 and has really got my interest up. When you consider some of the ideas in Sims 3 translated along with emotion based response, well the mind boggles.

Will be following any further news on this one eagerly.

Can you have fat sims?

Judging from the gameplay trailer, yes.

I was or maybe still am sceptical towards "yet another" Sims title, considering how many metric tons of money I stuffed into Sims 3 and its gazillion expansions, which would undoubtedly be made worthless by a sequel starting from scratch ...

... but I have to admit, those are some pretty nifty features. The customisation alone looks like an entirely new world.

Can you murder other sims? Set fire to their houses? Burgle them?

It's probably my inner psychopath bubbling to the surface, but I got really bored of the sims 3 because you couldn't do anything evil.

Hm. That might be... worth looking into when I pick it up again sometime.

Thanks!

The new create-a-sim and the house building tools look pretty cool. Still skeptical about the whole emotion thing.

Those alone are not worth buying it all again tb. Knowing my luck however my gf will, so yea I'll give it a chance at least.
