I'm currently running the Cygnar Battle Box with Alexia, Mistress of the Witchfire as my Cygnar force at 15 points, but I'm looking to expand, even if it means all new models for the list. I tend to see mostly Trollbloods and Circle as the top 2 armies at my FLGS, and they pretty much rape me every time out. It may be me, but at the same time, it seems as though jack heavy armies don't do too well against much else but jack heavy armies. That being said, I've decided I want to make use of units and jacks combined.
Here's what I came up with using the Lightning War Tier 1 theme:
Battlegroup:
Artificer General Nemo w/ Finch
Thunderhead
Units:
2 units of 10 Stormguard each.
The idea is to take max advantage of electrical damage, use Finch and Nemo's abilities to make more efficient use of Focus, and to use Nemo's Fail Safe and Lightning Shroud to boost Thunderhead. I do know that there is at least one fatal flaw to this list: it's just about all (if not all) electrical damage, making it useless against anything with immunity to electricity.
Other than it's fatal flaw, what do you guys think? Also, how many armies would I really have to worry about with enough immunity to electricity to make the list all but useless against them and how often are they generally seen?

There is really only one Hordes list, and of course the mirror match, that has loads of electricity immunity. That being said, consider your local meta and decide what works best for your second tournament list, which can overcome the shortfalls of the first list.
I like the Stormguard, but their melee weapons don't have an electrical damage type, which means they don't benefit from N3mo's feat. Consider maybe replacing at least one unit of Guard with the Silver Line. At this points level especially, being able to advance your army behind an un-chargeable wall will really tick off Hordes players.
I know I've said it 100 times, but I really like seeing the Squire in lists. I would advise giving it a try and seeing how you like it's toolbox full of goodies it gives your caster.
Pretty sure Fail Safe and Lightning Shroud are upkeeps, which means you can't run both on the same model at the same time.
Bear in mind, if you drop one unit of Stromguard (making the other Silver Line), you could suddenly fit in the Squire and an Ironclad (which would LOVE Lightning Shroud).
I can understand frustration with Hordes and their melee prowess, but it comes down to play style and your long-term strategy when making Cygnar effective. And I personally would trade a jack for a Warbeast any day. Instead of running your army line-abreast, consider sending the jacks in waves: one to bait the charge and draw them out, the second to clean house on the charge. Not saying it's flawless, but changing it up and playing carefully against Hordes matters.

A couple of things.
First off, Artificer General Nemo cannot take a Squire like his other incarnations can, leaving that out as an option with this incarnation of him.
Secondly, while Stormguard doesn't directly have electrical damage, they do have Electro leap so each hit generates a POW 10 Electrical Damage Roll on a nearby model (which, from my understanding can come back on the Stormguard, which are immune to electrical damage, so the Leap attack would just miss). The leader can also use the Electrical Discharge ability if at least one of the grunts hit in melee.
I'm using Army Builder (I know, it's not the greatest when it comes to building Warmahordes lists, but I got it for 40k before I got into Warmahordes), and it doesn't have the Silverline upgrade for the Stormguard or as a separate unit. How many points would the full 10 man unit with leader and grunts be?
Under the configuration I'd need to run (standard list, no theme) to get the Ironclad in, I'm looking at 24 points for 10 Stormguard (before the Silverline upgrade), Thunderhead, and an Ironclad.
I re-calculated AB's mistakes (wasn't dropping the extra point per unit of the Stormguard), making my above army actually 22 points due to the Lightning War Tier 1 theme, leaving 3 points extra to add more to the list with. Depending on cost, maybe make one or both Stormguard units Silverline (if that doesn't remove the 1 point cost reduction per unit).

I continually make that stupid mistake with Squire and N3mo. I just love the Squire so much I can't help it. Like... I really love it. <3
Almost as much as I love Rowdy, with almost every caster.
The Silver Line cost is the same as normal SG, 6/9.
