What is the ideal composition of a 1500 IG blob? i love the thought of infantry, infantry, infantry, but perhaps artillery. i imagine i need to be able to deal with armor so a number of heavy weaps squads with las cannons i imagine. Would spamming a few basilisks be advisable?

A few choice pieces of artillery with overwhelming infantry is always a fun way to play.

Intimidate the enemy with your numbers.

I put heavy weapon teams in my infantry (Though this was in 5th edition) mainly lascannons, means I saved kill points and also gave the blobs some long range fire power if i didn't want to move them, and for up close meltas.

Though with the changes in 6th this information might not be correct now sorry.
