Hi everyone,
I have been a long time reader, swore I had made an account, but I guess this is my first one.
Anyhow...
I have been Wargaming since the early 1980's, playing a number of games (especially The Sword and the Flame), and like several in our Club in New Mexico were intriqued when Rogue Trader came out as it blended Fantasy and Victorian Colonials. Played a lot of 2nd Edition in our Club in Texas as it remained tactical and was easier to build armies - but it lacked a lot of unique sides and true support models. 3rd thru 5th ed brought plenty of new models & sides, but a decrease in play time as it felt too much like Epic.
The new Codex's in 6th Ed are bringing back some of the tactics and units... so looks like a good start. So while the Codex cost to those of us with 8-ish armies sucks... will give it a whirl. Just would like racial movement, vehicles capable of surviving more than one hit, a single weapons chart, and clear minus (not AP) on armor. So our Club in Nevada is piddling with 2nd Ed again, with consideration of the new races and the stat balance it brought.
Thank you,
