Hey all.
Saturday is a doubles tournament starting at 11am. 1000 points each.
Sunday is a singles tournament starting at 11am 1750 points.

That's all I know. I'm hoping that someone else out there has more info. I would love to know if tyranids can ally with tyranids. Or eldar with eldar, or eldar with tyranids. Wife and I are hoping to do the doubles. Also wondering any rules faqs or any other kind of info that might be available.

Thanks in advance.

From all my looking around it seems like you need tickets to PAX for the day of the tournament. That acts as your "ticket" to the tournament. This will be a problem as tickets are sold out. There are some tickets on stub hub, but you're paying a markup on those. Other than the start times, there is absolutely no information regarding organization. The whole thing seems thrown together at the last minute.

Well, I have managed to get a bit more info. 10am is registration time for everyone, and I will not be in the tourney. However, I believe I will be a moderator.

I've found out that yes forgeworld is okay, as long as it has the 40k stamp on it. Please bring along the appropriate datafax for any forgeworld model you bring.
For the singles tournament, allies only by the matrix, however for the doubles tournament, the allies matrix is suggested, but not required. If we end up with a couple of people that don't have partners we can match them up.

I'm going to be studying up on all the GW FAQs, but I would love appreciate it if anybody with questions, or hot topic arguments would post them here. I can either rule them here ahead of time and/or kick it up the chain to the TO who has the final say. Cheers all.

Seapheonix has it all correct. He will be helping me as I have not played 40K in a while. We actually chatted about it today.

Here's a question: is it okay to use a non-forge world model as it's forgeworld counter part if the dimensions match up? For example, a regular land raider model using the rules for a forge world land raider?

As long as the unit/vehicle/character in question is modeled appropriately to match the forgeworld model, it will be allowed. Also you must have the appropriate datafax available for your opponent to look over before the game begins.

Speaking of updating:

Participants will be given a tournament packet upon registration.
Missions will be primary/secondary out of the book. Tertiary (tiebreaker) will be the book secondary objectives. (slay the warlord, first blood, etc.)
We will not be using any mysterious objectives, jungles, rivers archeotype artifacts.
Over the next couple of days a tourney FAQ will be put together and included in our posts and with the tournament packet.
Please bring at least four copies of your list per day. (One for us TO's, and one for each of your three opponents.)
Target game length will be two and a half hours, with a 30 minute lunch break between first and second round.
If you come to the doubles tourney without a partner, we will do our best to match you with someone else.

Unfortunately the only way into the tournament is a PAX ticket.

There are tickets available on stub hub for pax, however they have been marked up quite a bit from their original pricing. Ebay as well. Good luck.
