Your archon needs a shadowfield, but other than that it looks pretty solid.

The Venom Spam list of DOOOOM!

I do agree with the Shadowfield for the Archon and the only other thing I could suggest (it is more a personal preference) is mix and match the blasters on the True Born. Dark Eldar getting to close to the enemy usually means a bad day for us.

Yep, that sums it up. Get the shadowfield and the blasters, and you'll be solid. Good luck.

I also agree about adding a shadow field. You can drop the splinter cannons on the planes for them, as you probably will use the lances+missiles each turn till the missiles are gone, so turn 5 before the cannon really matters. The cannon does not do all that much more the rifle does. The points spent on cannons will net you the shadowfield.

Also, a blaster on the archon would be nice. BS7 is fantastic, and you don't need the soul trap. Venom blade is nice CC insurance, but the soul trap won't matter much with a poisoned weapon.

The most important rule of 40K-Page XVII of the 6th edition rulebook, the figure at the top right of the page. "Shake hands with your opponent and thank them for a good battle and fun experience." Then go out for a beer.

I think this list looks pretty sweet, however, there are a couple of things I'd tinker with way you have your archon kitted out right now is pretty close combat-y, which begs the question how are you going to use him? If you want him to be a cc hunter, I'd give him an Incubi squad of 4 to join so that he's not SOL against a squad of Veteran Vanguards on his own. With that said, if you want him to support in fire, ditch the Venom Blade and Soul Trap, keep him out of the way of a CC unit and give him a blaster also. But. If you want him in CC doing HQ hunting, not just going after 1 wound models (which, granted you have him perfectly set up to do) he will need a huskblade. That instant death capability can really be a saving grace in combat with nastier foes.

Another thing that I notice is a distinct lack of ranged Anti Tank support. If you take this much anti infantry, you need to also have a way to get them out of their rhinos. I would personally swap a flier for a Ravager to create more early game long range AT fire, and maybe even make one of the squads of trueborn into Darklance Campers. I've found there is no such thing as too much ranged fire in the early game stages. That Alpha Strike capability has really been the turning point for my army almost every time.

The last thing I see, and this is just point efficiency here, is that you can probably ditch the Razorwings' Splinter Cannons. You really wont use it until turn 4 in almost any circumstance and I'm sure you can spend those points better elsewhere.

All just my opinion, take it as you will. Cheers.

Serling, you said everything I said, but I hadn't seen your post because I was typing mine at the time! Making me look dumb. Or derivative. Not that most of my thoughts aren' heavily influenced by your feedback anyway.

IMO in any tournament you play 95% of players have ways of dealing with flyers. With that said I would drop all 3 for 3 ravagers add a beast pack and make sure you have flicker field and night shields on all of your vechiles also are all your venoms double cannons? I even prefer venom cannons on the trueborns over the blaster anyday...the added anti infantry in a infantry heavy edition would really help and also ensure that your a safe 36" away over the short range of the blaster( 3 ravagers is plenty of anti tank)
