Would a fantasy vampire count dragon fit on an oval base?

Most likely.

Oh, I certainly vote with my dollar, but the problem is that that is not enough. The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

I was really expecting a more black or white answer.

A quick measure of an oval base from my stormtalon puts them at 95mm x 120mm. GW's website says the vampire dragon comes on a 100x150mm monster base. It looks like it's not using all the length, but is close on the width. So I suspect it should be fine, might overhang a little.

This just from looking at the web, The last dragon I put together was metal, so YMMV.

Thanks for the info. As you said the Zombie Dragon doesn't use the entire base so it is possible there will be room. I might put the Dragon on something as high as a flying stand so it is the same height and will get cover the right way.

The VC Zombie Dragon will fit fine on an oval flying base. In fact, it's just possible to stick one on a 60mm as well with a little overhang.

I can't see how that is possible to get a model that large on a 60mm base. Are you thinking of the old metal one?

Having just painted a zombie dragon (the new, plastic kit) I can confirm it would fit on an oval base. I glued mine to a square 50mm base so it'd be easier to handle while painting, and even that fits (with a bit of overhang, having placed it diagonally).

Yes it fits fine. I use one with the terror head as a bloodthirster.
