Hello!
I am quite new here (have lurked for a while but I am trying to be more active). My friends and I recently got back to playing WH40k after a several year long break, and we are all working on building up our armies to get back into the fray!
I am currently looking at creating a fun/competative list, to use when playing friendly games with my buddies. My friends in my group currently play DA, BT, Ork, Elda, Chaos and Imperial Guard, so these teams are my most probable opponents!
Critics and comments welcome!


The list that i have come up with for now,

HQ
DP - 300pts
ML2, Power armour, Wings, MoS(not decided), BM and Aura of Dark Glory

Huron - 160pts


Elits
Terminators (2+1) - 141pts
MoT, Combi-Meltas x3, PF x2, TerminChamp with Power weapon

Plague Marines (8+1) - 301pts

Tzeentch is usually the best choice for a DP; he also doesn't need Aura of Dark Glory because he gets a 5++ already for being a Daemon. I would also try to bump him up to ML3 since you've already invested so many points in him might as well try to get the best chances on biomancy.
The termies look fun as I assume you're going to deep strike/infiltrate them into your enemies' faces.
For Plague Marines, I've found that their poison weapons are sufficient enough for close combat. I would probably use those points to give that squad double plasma.
Cultists I would only go flamer if you think someone is going to be charging them in your backfield objectives because their best use is to do just that, imo.
Everything else looks nice and fun to me. Looks like a really enjoyable list!

edit: johnnytexas don't think he has an HQ to turn his plagues into scoring so he's just running them as elites (which isn't the most optimal, but hey it's a friendly/fun army)

Thanks for the reply guys!
I actually forgot to add that the PM have a Rhino with Dirge caster. I will probably will try and infiltrate either the terminators or the two blobs with CSM. Not really sure yet which would be best, I guess it depends on my opponent.

My plan for the PMs will probably be to recapture and defend objectives and then move on and let one of my Troops take over defending it.

I also read up on the Extra Armor rule so i will be removing that from the Predator since it have Daemonic Possession.

I will remove the Aura of Dark Glory then from the DP. The reason i went with Slaneesh is because I really think Fleet and the extra Initiative will be a better delivery of the DP than Tzeentch?

Oh and yea, the flamers are really for the overwatch so they can hold out untill help arrives! I really think they benefit the most from the flamers and as a melee unit, keep it cheap keep it simple!

Sounds good! The reason I like Tzeentch or even Nurgle for DP over Slaanesh is because when you are preparing to charge, your DP would be a Jump Monstrous Creature (swoop mode), which basically gives you fleet if you didn't use "Jump" in the movement phase. The DP's natural initiative is also pretty high so you'd have no need to boost it. Daemon of Slaanesh also doesn't give bonus initiative anyways. But yeah, Tzeentch gives you that cheesy re-roll saves of 1 and Nurgle gives you shrouded which vastly increase your survivability. You really don't need to worry about a FMC's speed

Alright I will buy that argument then regarding the DP. In that case I think that Nurgle is my fav one over Tzeentch, just because... Nurgle!
