Hi All. I am going to be participating in a few tournaments in the next few month and I would like to bring a CSM list that I have been working on for a while. My aim is to go 3-2 in the bigger 5 round tournament as I realize that this list has limitations that will make it hard to do better. This list is close combat oriented with the blood thirster and the axe lord expected to do the lion's share of the chopping. The speed of the bike lord and the flying blood thirster pair well and usually ensure that at least one of them makes it into combat. Overall I think this list shines a little more at 1850 as the extra points allow a more comfortable fit for all the elements. I have found the sorcerer invaluable in boosting the power of the close combat specialists and preventing them from being tarpitted by fearless zombies and such. So I've tried my best to jam him in at 1750.
The only things I keep waffling about are the Heldrakes. I have two available, but always come back to the idea of taking something else instead of one of them. I have recently settled on the land raider proteus as it's resistance to melta ensures that it will be difficult to bring down from range (especially if it becomes invisible). So my current idea is to plow the proteus up the middle and hide my assault elements behind it for 1 turn and then have the speed to be in assault by the 2nd turn. Otherwise I can put the two CSM squads in rhinos and add back the second drake.
