So, I was talking to a friend of mine about I.G. he planted the idea in my head to try something.... different. Not unheard of, but definitely different.

Here's the concept, bear with me.

HQ - Company Command Squad: (165 points)
Company Commander with Plasma Pistol, 3x Veterans with Plasma Guns, 1x Veteran with Lasgun, Astropath, Master of Ordinance.
Chimera Transport (55 points)

Troops - Veteran Squad: (85 points)
1x Sergeant, 3x Flamers, 6x Lasguns
-Chimera Transport (55 points)
Hull Heavy Flamer

Troops - Veteran Squad: (100 points)
1x Sergeant, 3x Meltaguns 6x Lasguns
-Chimera Transport (55 points)
Hull Heavy Flamer

Heavy Support - Leman Russ Tank Squadron: (450 points)
3x Leman Russ Battletanks
Battlecannons and Hull Heavy Flamers

Heavy Support - Leman Russ Tank Squadron: (450 points)

That, ladies and gentlemen, is 10 pie plates a turn. Six of them and strength 8, AP 3. Three of them are strength 6, AP 4, and one is Strength 9, AP 2, I believe (don't have my I.G. codex in front of me here at work, and I don't typically run the Master of Ordinance, so that one may be AP 3).

Six front armor 14 vehicles, and eight front armor 12 vehicles.

Yea it's dicey, as the battle cannons scatter often, but I find myself REALLY wanting to play this list! It seems like a lot of fun.

What're thoughts on this idea? Anyone have any takes on it?

Edit: Worked it out to be 1500 points exactly. Thoughts?

In trouble vs flyers, maybe some dettas to counter?

Fair point, I was just going to suffer the wrath of the flyers and try to blast everything else off the table if possible.

For 2000 points I could add in a pair of Vendettas (+260 Points)
Plus an Astropath and a Chimera for the CCS (+85 Points)
Add in an Aegis Defense Line & Quad Gun (+100 Points)

And that leaves me 55 points to throw around. Add a bunch of plasma to the CCS for that (Pistol and 3x Plasma guns) So, here's the revised list:
