Throwing together a 500 pnt DA list for an escalation league. The only requirement is 1 HQ and 1 troop. The missions will be random from the rulebook. I know for a fact I will be seeing flyers such as Heldrake, Lord of Change, and Night scythes. As well as AV13+. also will be seeing tau and Eldar not sure on what they will be using at all. I have come up with two lists both need help I feel, and also open to any other directions to take.

List 1
HQ-
Librarian, Force Sword, Melta Bombs - 70

Troops-
5x Tactical Squad, Razorback w/ TL AC - 145
5x Tactical Squad, Razorback w/ TL AC - 145

Heavy-
Predator w/ TL LC, Side LC's - 140

Also considered removing both speeders from this list adding melta bombs to the libby and Tac squad, and adding a LC Predator. Or both speeders for 1 more Tac Squad with razorback and bombs on libby.

The only example list I know I will be facing is:

here is what i would do the way I play DA

List 1
HQ-
Librarian, Force Sword, Melta Bombs - 70

Troops-
5x Tactical Squad, Razorback w/ TL AC - 145 drop the razorbacks that frees up 150 points total
5x Tactical Squad, Razorback w/ TL AC - 145

Heavy-
Predator w/ TL LC, Side LC's - 140 drop the turret lascannon save the points

with those changes that should free up 175 points. That would add another tac squad as well as some heavy weapons to each squad. if you take it further and drop the sponson lascannons from the pred you should be able to add a whirlwind

I like the changes, adds a little more utility vs any blobs at low points like orcs or tyranid. Do you think it would be worth dropping 1 of the tac squads for a Speeder with missile launcher and a multi melta for the 85 points? The melta for a deep strike suicide against something like tau and their av 13, 72" hammer head? The only thing that worries me with the min unit troops and no armor option was something like venom spam and pie plates. The local group is very large and almost every codex will probably be played.

You should have plenty of armor pen ability with the las cannons and ml. It is only 500 points
