I have two related questions that were in dispute at the last game I played.
Ironclad was marshaled to Sword Knight UA. I wanted to move the Jack and then use pronto. I was told it was one or the other by my opponent. the internet said I could charge with the 'Clad, Tremor (*attack) and then Drive: Pronto to move out of the way for SK to charge. I accepted my opponent's ruling so that we could move on with the game, but I would like to know how it's supposed to work. I've been over the rules a few times, but perhaps I missed something.
So, here are my questions:
1. Can an Ironclad that is Marshaled still use Tremor (*attack) while charging?
2. If so, can the Ironclad then be given Drive: Pronto?
3. Does the jack and its marshal share or have separate activations?
4. Does the marshal need to activate before the Jack it marshals so that it can issue commands (charge/run, buy attack, boost) and/or Drives?
Thank you for your input.

1: Yes, it may use it's tremor as it's charge attack. Special attacks replace your initial attacks. The description specifically states this.
2: Drives are performed on the Jack Marshal's activation, they occur outside the jack's activation. See: Prime Pg80. I do not see any reason why it could not receive the drive after it's own activation.
3: They have separate activations.
4: No, Drives are performed on the marshal's activation, they can be activated before or after the marshal's jacks. The boosting/charge/run/buy attacks etc is different from the drives. Again see PG80 in prime. A jack that is being marshaled can basically behave as though it has 1 focus point on it for the purposes of boosting/buying attacks/ charge/run and power attacks, but it does not actually have the one focus. This does not require an action or ability to be activated from the jack marshal.

Just one more caveat. The Jack must be within the marshall's CMD to use the various boosts and to recieve the drive order. It does not need to stay in the marshall's CMD to use the drive.

Marshalled Jacks cannot make power attacks, unless they have a special rule allowing them to make one for free or something. * attacks are not power attacks, so no restrictions there.
Everything else is correct.

So, Ironclad marshaled by Sword Knight Infantry Officer cannot or cannot do the following:
Ironclad activates, charges 8" and uses (*atttack) Tremor.
Sword Knights activates, Officer uses Drive: Pronto to reposition Ironclad to clear charge lane for SK.
would I be correct to assume that what you are saying is that the aforementioned maneuver can be done EXCEPT that the Ironclad cannot use (*action) Tremor as his charging attack?

* actions are not power attacks. They are special attacks, which Marshalled Jacks can do just fine.
So you can use Tremor just fine, but you couldn't do a Slam, Throw, Weapon Lock, Headbutt, or anything like that. The only way a Marshalled Jack can do one of those is if it has a Chain attack.

One thing I would point out is that it is possible to give focus to marshalled warjacks, mainly models with the power boost rule. The warjack could then use that focus to power attack. Arlan Strangewaves for cygnar has power boost.

Or if it can use a power attack without spending focus which is quite rare. A Rhulic Basher can slam without spending focus thus he can also slam when controlled by a jack marshal. As far as I have seen, that is the only warjack with that ability. Some beasts have it though, but they dont have jack marshals.
