I've been playing 40k for about a year, and I field Orks. I do enjoy running a huge horde of greenskins; however, I'd like to play something with a 6ed codex. I've always loved Nurgle, but I'm having a hard time distinguishing the difference between Death Guard, and The Purge. Which models would be appropriate for each army? If I had Typhus with some zombies and Plague marines using Rhinos, that would be a vanilla Death Guard army. correct? What units work for The Purge? I really like the idea that they're just out there destroying everything, and pray to Nurgle to bring death to all living creatures that much quicker. But what units can I use for that theme? The codex is a bit overwhelming, and I want to make sure I stick to the fluff. It doesn't have to be competition-worthy, but I'd like an army that can kick ass and still stay true to the theme. Any advice?

Personally I think that the difference lies in extremity.

What I mean by this is that the death guard are all plague marines (the original plague marines) while the purge are an 'ordinary' chaos warband who just happens to worship Nurgle, therefore they are more likely to have other units such as basic csm squad, bikes, raptors and obliterators in their ranks, as long as they are marked by nurgle.
