They do a lot of the more esoteric stuff in 15mm, Maus tanks and things like the Black Prince which I've never seen a model of before. Anyone else bought their stuff? What's the quality like? Recommendations?

Wrexham, United Kingdom.

I have some of their stuff... Mortars, HMGs, infantry and Greyhounds for my Americans... The Greyhounds are my favourite figures out of my entire collection (which includes PSC and Battlefront). I just love them!
The quality of their miniatures is really good, I recommend getting some of your stuff from them as their prices are also very good!
Unfortunately the infantry don't come with bases (I assume the guns don't either) but bases are fairly cheap to buy elsewhere anyhow.

Agreed. I have a bunch of their stuff, off the top of my head I have.

Panzer I
Befehlpanzer
FlaK 36 8.8cm (only the guns)
FlaK 38 2cm
PaK 36 3.7cm
Sdkfz 10/4
Kubelwagens
Marder IIIM
Soviet SMG infantry

These are mixed between my late war German, late war Soviet and Spanish Civil War armies.

Their infantry is great, well sculpted and proportioned though some of their gun crew is a bit static (even for gun crew). Their vehicles are good, well detailed and easy to assemble, though some of the larger models are a bit undersized (though I don't own any of them). Their guns are easy to build but the 88 is quite a poor sculpt and lacks a gunner (or anywhere to put him).

They can be a bit difficult to source and their display at shows is often under stocked and the staff (from Figures in Comfort) know little about the range. In my experience Firestorm Games are the best supplier with 5% off retail and free postage over £30.

I like them, but I don't like moulded bases. So the Infantry and support Weapons / Guns and Artillery is great, the vehicles can be a good buy if you are on a tight budget.

Me not liking the moulded bases is a personal thing, and in no-way detracts from how good the models are (and they are very good quality) .

Rob at Firestorm is a personal friend of mine, he actually bought one of those LandKruzer Models for fun. He will always get the models you want and is brilliant at getting dodgy blisters replaced. I bought a FiB Para 6 Pounder blister, it was missing the barrels, he swapped it out and sent them back to forged in battle and they one for one'd his stock. Top customer service from the shop and also the supplier.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

Are the vehicles cast into their bases then?

Yes. If you're not someone who bases your vehicles this may not be to your taste. Remember that many BF vehicles, especially soft skin trucks and such are also cast into their bases.

This is a valid point and I often forget this, because I rarely use Jeep or Motorised Forces, I tend to used Mechanised Armour Forces, or Tank Forces so don't tend to buy Kubelwagens or Trucks.

That Said the trucks I do have are Zvezda because they were the cheapest and came without moulded Bases.

The other problem I've had with Forged in Battle is that often the Platoons they sell are short by 1 vehicle compared with the Platoons I need for FOW. Getting them individually can be problematic so you might need to over-buy in order to get what you need - Don't worry you can sell the excess vehicles or use them for something else.
