So I just bought some Windsor and Newton Series 7 Miniature 00, 0, 1, 2, and some master's painter brush cleaner. The next thing I need is a good drying rack. I've seen one out there that uses a spring so you can hang your brushes upside down and they dry out like that but I can't seem to find one. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find one or if anyone had a comparable idea of what I could use. Thanks.

Alligator clips or those industrial paper clips hanging from hooks or push pins on the wall.

Dickblick has several options as well that are purpose built for this, and it is simple enough that you can fumble through a hardware store, craft store or office supply store and find what you need.

While I havent seen a definitive study on how it impacts brush life, my own anecdotal evidence seems to show brushes lasting longer by a good bit. The idea being that anything that doesnt come out when cleaning won't migrate back into the ferrule if you hang them bristles down. You also dont need to mess with brush sleaves or worry about them getting mashed about when not in use.

I've seen one at Michaels, if you have one close by. The spring was suspended over a cup, so you can also use it to soak them in brush cleaning/restoring solutions, if you clip them in a bit lower, or simply use it as a drying rack.
