So here I am, considering a new army (again) and my friend suggested DA.
I'm intrested in mixing Ravenwing with regular Tactical-based marinearmy. How competitive is it?
I'm also intrested about Company Veteran squad and Ravenwing Darkshroud/LS Vengeance


I've also been thinking about starting 500p list. C&C appreciated:

Librarian - 65p

Troops
Tactical - 85p
- Plasma gun

Tactical - 85p
- Plasma Cannon

Fast Attack
Ravenwing squad - 155p
- 2x Meltagun
- MM Attack Bike

Ravenwing squad - 110p
- 2x flamer

I really like your 500 list. Honestly, it's a very solid way to start out Ravenwing/Greenwing. As far as regular marines mixed with RW goes, devestators are awesome. Bear in mind that 3 man bike squads die pretty quickly.

How about this: instead of two 3-man squads I'll make one squad of 5 bikes and 1 AB.

Ravenwing squad - 229p
- 5 bikes
- 2 meltaguns
- Vet Sgt. w/ combi-melta
- MM Attack Bike

After this there should be 35 points to play with.

Power field generator for the Libby is very useful as is a bike for the Libby

I think a combination of rw with tac marines is as competitive of a build as you can get I think. If you are looking to start rw then the battleforce boxes are a decent deal and its squad in a box. Also consider dark vengeance bikes. That's what I have used to build my ravenwing by trading the other parts of the 3 boxes I have bought. The black knights are a must imo.

So in bigger games, is there room for Darkshroud w/ AC or Land Speeder Vengeance?

I really like the model and Darkshroud could give the bikes +1 assault distance and up to 3+ cover save. Nice!
