Hello,

Just getting a quick review of this GK army that I'll be testing out tomorrow night!

Grey Knight Librarian: Nemesis Force Sword (Master-crafted); Psybolt Ammunition; Digital Weapons.
Ordo Malleus Inquisitor: Psyker (Mastery Level 1); Hammerhand; Terminator armour; psycannon; Nemesis Daemon hammer.

5 Paladins: 2× Psycannon (2× Master-crafted); 2× Nemesis Force Halberd; 2× Nemesis Daemon Hammer; Nemesis Warding Stave.

10 Grey Knights: Nemesis Daemon Hammer & Storm Bolter; 2× Psycannon; Psybolt Ammunition.
10 Grey Knights: Nemesis Daemon Hammer & Storm Bolter; 2× Psycannon; Psybolt Ammunition.
5 Terminators: Psycannon; 4× Nemesis Force Halberd; Nemesis Daemon Hammer.

Dreadnought: Twin-linked Autocannon; Twin-linked Autocannon; Psybolt Ammunition.
Dreadnought: Twin-linked Autocannon; Twin-linked Autocannon; Psybolt Ammunition.
Nemesis Dreadknight: heavy incinerator; personal teleporter.

General idea would be to have the Libby and Inquisitor both attached to a GKSS each casting prescience where needed to get those sweet S5 storm bolsters and the psycannons re-rolls to hit while the dreads and paladins do their thing. It's a complete defensive army with only the dread knight kicking about as a counter assault unit. I do have a stormraven and 3 other dreads kicking about along with a vindicare assassin but can't find room.

Any advice would be gravy! Cheers!

Hi.

That is kind of the lists i used to go with.
It can work quite efficiently IF your oponent needs to get close (Nids, Orks...)
Otherwise your main problem will be that you have a short range and are foot slogging.

So if you face TAU or IG for instance, they can wait on their side and you will have to walk the board.

Personally i am not an adept of terminators unless in very specific lists (Draigo or Mordrak) so if you take those out, you can take two more GKSS squads and bring some vehicles (rhinos) to bring them quicker in firing range.

By the way why would you take a Librarian instead of Coteaz? he is almost as solid (no inv and E3 but one more wound), much cheaper and brings lots of special abilities...

Hey,

I've noticed most GK armies struggle against tau and IG anyway as 9 out of 10 times they'll be out ranged anyway. I can always attempt to Deep strike some units in if needed.

I'd agree with the terminators there and if I had more GKSS I'd be keen for a swap. The paladins are a fave of mine though and are yet to let me down! I have rhinos lying about but the I won't be able to attach any HQs.

To be honest I didn't think it... Always had a soft spot for the Libby but Coteaz would probably work better. Thanks for that! Question is what to use the extra points on? Greatsword?

You can put the Inquisitor in a Terminator or Paladin unit anyway (so no need for a space in a transport) with the remaining points. The librarian as well btw if you dont take Coteaz (that is one of his weaknesses, no DS possible...)

The Sword is great indeed

Or if you take coteaz you can take some acolytes, either shooting ones (servitor + plasma + jakiro) or mobile ones (chimera +5 acolytes with 3 melta/plasma)
You can even take a chimera with some acolytes and use if your your GKSS (or even termi/paladins)

For Tau i agree, i have yet to beat them :(
The only way i found yet that might work was a shunting list (interceptor + teleporting DKs)
For IG i have not had huge issues yet, but only played them a few times, again shunting DKs and interceptors are great (flame those blobs, kick those tanks....)
