I searched around and found pre-painted angels for Heroscape to be my answer for an all-angel army.
I didn't buy from Troll & Toad but have links to their minis as an example.

Listed as "Kyrie" on sites that sell them, I picked up 36 spear-carrying angels for 80 cents each.

Planning on picking up a pre-painted large phoenix model at the local Michaels/AC Moore to round out the force.

All told, with bases, I'll be out around 75 bucks for a 2000 pt plus army.

Meh. Too samey. I mean, I love Heroscape (still have a massive collection, even though the game was canceled by WoTC, the other evil empire), but 36 identical and very characteristic figures with a couple unique sculpts thrown in wouldn't inspire me to play games with the army.

Still, kudos on the cheap solution!
