I'm having trouble finding any where that sells cork . Does any one know the best place to go or best site . (I'm in the UK)
B&Q don't sell it or home base . I've tried Tesco for cheap place mats with no luck. Any ideas?

Cork fractures in a way that makes good small scale rocks and stuff. It is light and easy to cut, takes glue and paint well and you can drill through it for pinning.
The specific cork you will want will vary some. I like to use the cork from pet stores. It is basically a big hunk of raw cork bark that they sell as hides for snakes, lizards and what not. Pretty cheap when you consider how much you are getting. Just break off pieces as I need them.
