Here is my straight from the oven list of white scars
HQ:
Kor'sarro Khan
Moondrakkan 150pts.
Chaplain
bike 110pts.
Company Command Squad
bikes, champion, standard of the Emperor, power fist, apotechary 255pts.
Troops:
5 bikers, 2 gravguns, MM attack bike 190pts.
5 bikers, 2 gravguns, MM attack bike 190pts.
5 bikers, 2 gravguns, MM attack bike 190pts.
10 tactical marines
plasma cannon, plasma gun
rhino 205pts.
10 tactical marines
meltagun, missile (flakk)
razorback 230pts.
10 tactical marines
meltagun, missile (flakk)
razorback 230pts.
ADL+ Quadgun 100pts.
Total: 1850pts.
The main idea is to combat squad the two razor going tactical squads, leave flakk missiles behind the line and operate the quadgun. Pretty much everything else will scout ahead and shoot and engage the enemy. Then hit and run and shoot again. Well this is my first list from the new codex, so any good ideas are welcome. This is a semi competitive list as I'm not going into many tournaments with my marines... Automatically Appended Next Post: Oh and forgot to say that Khan, chaplain and the command squad will form a nasty bikerfist unit...

I'm not convinced Kahn is worth it. He's cheap but a bike Captain can be such a power house. Then chuck some combigravs in the squad.
Just don't get the tac squads at all. I would dump them for more bikes and more threat.

Well this is a list with the models i allready have (minus the gravguns). Also i feel that droping Khan and taking a captain (and saving around 40pts) and losing the scout move is a big mistake. The whole idea is to get the gravguns into range ASAP. also getting the bikes into combat as fast as possible is needes as that saves them from the heldrakes and other cover ignoring AP3 nonsense. If you're exploiting scout moves on the Tac squads I'd take flamers and a combined flamer, then dump the heavy weapon, you'll never fire it well anyway.
Through 12" deploy, scout, move (combat speed) and disembark shenanigans, you can reach their deployment with guns ready to bear by the end of your first movement phase. That makes Tacticals good. It also works exceedingly well with Sternguard, letting you wipe out a vicious MC or squad in one swoop.
If you haven't already, you could also take TL Heavy Flamers on your Razor's to further abuse the mobility.
I feel Khan is one of the best HQ's join the Codex. He can kill MC's if you get some moderate luck, gives your already insanely buffed bikes scout and outflank, and he's absurdly cheap.

Good advice on the tacticals, so flamers for the ones in razors? or just the ones in the rhino?

You could run flamers in the Razors and plasma's in the Rhinos I guess, though the latter is of questionable worth, I'd always prefer Stern guard for that sort of role.

I wasn't necessarily suggesting an all bike list. But this comment has me confused. Why would ruins or buildings cause a particular problem for a bike list?
I still think a proper Captain offers sooo much more than Khan as scout got nerffed so hard in 6th and other than that Khan brings nothing to the table.

A free 12" move at the start, also the dedicated transports get a free move too. After playing a ravenwing list for a long time and after that a khorne hounds daemon list, i think scout is an awesome rule to have. That free move forward has thrown people off so many times i have lost track. Ofc there hare hard counters to that (servo sculls for example), but that is just situational. The whole point of the list is to shoot on the first turn, then shoot and assault on the second. Also Khan causes instant death on wound rolls of six, so he can surprise a MC from time to time... ofc he could die in the process, but still  Also, furious charge... I think he is a bargain for 150pts. A captain with nothing on him exept a bike would cost 40pts less. Slap some gear on and the captain would be more expencive by far. I rather take a cheap OK model than an expencive OK model.

Yeah the generic Captain is more expensive but also a beast. 2+/3++ Eternal Warrior with 3 S7 AP2 attacks at initiative he'll do far more damage than Khan and is very tough to kill. Where as Khan would struggle to beat an Honour Guard Champion in combat...
Ravewing have lots of CC punch in Black Knights and the Khorne Dogs list is brutal in CC which is why scout is great for those armies. For a White Scar army it is far less important as you are far more shooty.
I get what Khan adds to the tac marines too but for me they just don't do enough damage in that first turn to really justify serving up your army into rapid fire/assault range with no real CC unit. That command squad won't cut it against any serious CC unit. A bike Captain can however.

I make it 235 for 275 you also get an orbital bombardment. But for me that Command squad is much more threatening with a Captain than with Khan and the Chaplain.

Well i feel that i need the extra move to get the 18" range grav weapons near where i need them asap, but yeah, will propably try out the "über" captain also
