With the new codex coming out, I figured i'd dust off my old Templars and get in on the new Templars that actually get to share in all the goodies from the regular space marine dex! Unfortunatly, I discovered that my metal Champion was pretty dinged up and missing his sword. I also had a finecast Champion laying around that was misisng most of his torso due to a miscast. Ironicly i had purchased him off ebay to use his sword for a conversion. So in need of a Black Sword bearing hero for my Templars i dove into my box of spares and bits and found some nice looking Grey Knight sword that unfortunatly didn't really feel right proportion wise with the Emperors Champion I alreadt had. Looking for some alternatives i remebered i had no less then 5 of the Limited Edition Chaplains from the Dark Vengeance set lying around. Armed with a Grey Knight sword, a terminator head and an Interogator Chaplain soon this frankenstein of a mini was born only to be viciously assaulted by my mediocre painting skills. I'm looking for some tips on how to put more definition into my blacks then just a simple grey drybrush (as seen in this picture). That don't involve edge high lighting. (I don't think thin grey lines look good. I'd rather use undefined black then do edge high lights.) Other tips are very welcome however!

Yeah the chaplain is just bulkier and slightly bigger then normal tacticals (a lot like the dark vengeance chosen.) the terminator head looked better proportioned then the heads from the templars upgrade sprue

I might steal this, its nice that the head is seperate on the sprue, was actually looking for a cool alternative look for my emperors champion, and that torso looks great with the helmet
