Warscythe, Mindshackle Scarabs

10 Necron Immortals – 270 Points

The destroyer lord needs somewhere to go. It may be better just to get a standard one with a res orb to go with the warrior units. Or take a warrior unit out of its ark, bump up its numbers and pop the destroyer lord there.

The ghost arks make good gun boats. But until the Scythe comes on everything is range 24". You'll be facing heavy weapons with longer range, no question about this; and your opponents assaulty units will be able to get right next to you in one turn giving you a single shooting phase before they assault. If you do get blown out of an ark a 10 warrior unit is quite vulnerable - It may still work but I certainly wouldn't go out and buy a couple of them until you've had a few games.

Units in scythes ten to be late game objective grabbers as the army is not great at holding on to them. unless you sit a few spyders next to a unit of troops. That in mind you may have gone a little heavy on the troops in side of it.

Can't go wrong with Annihilation Barges. Why not take two? I've seen a battle where two very sucessfully soaked up all the heavy weapon shots leaving the large warrior units plodding behind largely ignored. The warriors in turn poured silly amounts of gauss fire at anything getting too close to the AB. Then the chap had a Doomsday Ark back field just keeping the really heavy things going for the A Barges ducking behind cover.

I have played necrons for a few years now and have found that if one is going to take warriors drop one of the ghost arcs and beef up the warrior ranks. I say this cause th ghost arc can use it specal abilty on both units and the cost of the arc you drop can go into other things like ab. I think with the list you have the destoryer lord is much if he was going with a fast attack unit more power to it the piont spent on him would be better suited in a overlord with the list you have that my thoughts on it.
