Hello all,

I am getting back into Warmachine after many-a-year of being out. Was playing a lot of Warhammer/WH40k and my group has slowly gotten into the Warmachine spirit.

I was reading some of the fluff for the solo's Fenris and and Yuri the Axe, and it seems they both "get along" with the Butcher. I build lists to fit a personal theme/fluff, so jumped at the opportunity to make a "wrecking crew" style Khador list. Was hoping to get some feed back on possible Jack changes, or unit changes? I would like to keep the Doom Reavers + Fenris and Yuri the Axe + Man Hunter with ebutcher as that is the "core" of what this list is.

Thank you in advance.

eButcher
Juggernaut
Juggernaut
Wardog

Fenris
Doom Reavers
Escort

Greylord Ternion

Widowmakers

Yuri the Axe

Man Hunter

My plan was to run the Juggernauts up front with blizzard on them and Butcher for first turn then start ice caging targets I want to murderate when I am close. Doomies + Fenris to one side of butcher while Yuri the Axe is on the other. Man hunter, depending on opponent would be either with Yuri, or on far side to harass/hunt. The Widowmakers are my only ranged attack and would focus on either solo's or leaders of units.

I am relatively new to the game (as its been over 10 years since I last played) so I expect to lose a lot, but looking to see if this is a "decent" list for when I learn how to maximize unity strategy.

Thanks again for taking a look

Juggers tend to be focus hungry and eButcher may not often have enough to share. You might consider Kodiaks instead as they have pathfinder and heavy boiler plus a good chain attack. Barring that Beast-09 may also be better that two juggers, I realize he's only one jack but he hits like a ton of bricks!

Thank you for the reply,

If I were to drop the Juggernaut's and Replace them with Kodiak's would do you suggest I drop for the 2pt difference, the Man Hunter ?

In the same vein, if I replace the two Juggernauts with a Beast 09, what would be a good purchase with the remaining points?

Being pretty new I am trying to build 2 "Decent" themed list (this one and a Vlad + multiple zerkers) and a more streamlined and competitive one.

Thank you again for the pointers

butcher really does not run jacks well, mainly because he is better in melee than they are and because his focus is random each turn. Kodiak are fairly focus hungry as well. I would suggest running a single jack like beast or torch or a devestator, anything that can rack up a lot of kills in a turn. Beast is prolly your best option. A true EButcher themed list usually consists of 3 doom reavers with escorts, fenris, a Jack and maybe some solos like Yuri.

71 pts khador - 6 war casters
41 pts merc highborn - 3 warcasters
