Hey gang! I'm going to be attending a rather late CoC release event. ANyone who's not familiar: 25pts Caster and Jacks/Beasts only. I play Khador. Now, I have five casters to choose from (painting pVlad and pButcher now). Frankly, I'm not that great a player, as none of my friends are willing to commit to WMH, and I can't get to the FLGS very often. I plan to change that, but as it stands, I'm look for help with lists for this event.
We play as many games as possible over the course of the day, and extra points are awarded for playing three different casters throughout. We get to add a perk to one warjack each game, though I can't remember what they are offhand. I think Superiority is one, pathfinder is another, and no idea what the third is.

Here are the lists I'm pondering:

which comes up one or two points short, but gets me to tier two and allows +1 to first turn roll and free upkeeps turn 1 (assuming tiers are allowed in this format)

again, I think it's a point short, but I unfortunately don't own a kodiak or multiple berserkers. This is pretty much a beat down list, flood the board with heavies and hope for the best.

I think this one will be all about the alpha strike. Early feat to get across the board and play in opponents half of the board, denying his maneuverability.

Please let me know if I'm even close to on base here. Like I said, I'm not the greatest (or even a very good) player, not much experience, but I love the game.

I think the butcher list and the harkevich list should do well. Butcher will just because he hits as hard as a jugg so you really have the hitting power of 5 separate jacks. Try and get butcher into melee with a couple jacks and wreck them, then use the rest of your jacks to screen him and/or slam/lock your enemy's remaining jacks. Too bad that you dont have a kodiak, it would be a good addition to alot of these lists.

Having run a pButcher list similar to that, I can assure you it can do REALLY well. Abuse the hell out of Full Throttle (free Charges/Slams/Tramples + Boosted Attacks? Yes, please) once you have a chance to charge. That extra die to attack makes Crit Freezes that much more likely, and in general, the list is really good at knocking down or otherwise freezing other jacks (which in a mangled metal setting helps kill Focus)

That said, Kodiaks would help by being able to just chuck around other jacks w/ Smash & Grab, though you note that you don't have one. (Seriously a lot of fun with the Butcher).

In general, Slams/Throws are clutch for these kinds of events mostly to waste opponent focus to shake effect.

Yeah, well, if I can find the funds, I will buy a kodiak in the next couple of weeks, or trade for one.
Don't suppose anybody reading this thread has a kodiak they'd want to trade away to little ol' me? I'm getting rid of pretty much all my gamesworkshop stuff now!
But back on topic, I'm definitely looking forward to the Iron Wolf and Butcher lists, any thoughts on other lists? I want to run at least three over the course of the day for the extra tourney points that gives.

The upgrade you should always take is Superiority. Slap it on your most important Jack each game and have fun.

it's extra lulzy on Behemoth, but as you don't have him I would put it on a Spriggan or Black Ivan.
