The two big things are the release of Colossals and Gargantuans, and the release of the Convergeance of Cyriss. Colossals/Gargantuans is probably the most influential release, giving all factions large, powerful (mostly) expensive 'jacks and beasts to play with. They sort of adopt an 'eggs in one basket' approach, but generally powerful and playable, particularly the colossals. Warmachine benefits far more than hordes in this respect since the Colossals are incredibly focus efficient compared to regular 'jacks while packing comparable punch for the price. The Cygnar Stormwall is extremely powerful and focus efficient, making eHaley with two of them quite a nasty skew list. The Khador Konquest is less extreme, but plays very well with Khadors typical 'one big 'jack' strategy. The others I have less knowledge of but they all make a huge splash. The Gargantuans are typically less well received since unlike Colossals, which basically act as two heavies for the focus cost of one, garguantuans reduce the ability of hordes armies to generate fury. That is not to say that they are bad, but they are merely more niche than some of the Colossals like the Stormwall.
As a faction, Convergence is in many ways closest to Menoth, in that it is a faction based largely around synergy. Furthermore, it is already stealing the title of 'jack faction' from Menoth, introducing arguably the best 'jack caster (in that he can run the most 'jacks efficiently), Syntherion, who can realistically run at least 6 'jacks. As a faction, they have amazing focus efficiency and support pieces as well as average speed, but suffer from relatively weak infantry support, very few ways to play the ranged game, and a tendency to need to group closely together.

In other words, I guess the new faction didn't cause a type of "Inbalance" to the game.
I always fear whenever a new faction comes out, they would be highly targeted and not make a waste on them by buffing and making they pretty much the best and OP faction in the game.
Retribution proved me wrong years ago.
For Warhammer? Mmm... No.

no COC isn't causing a disturbance in the force. I don't think even all of the models have been released yet so there is that, too.

Sounds like codex creep that we deal with in 40K all the time.
Buy the new shinies or likely get rolled.
#1 power\cheese army in the game is Cygnar ehaley with Stormwalls.

Not really. Convergence has some definite advantages, but it's fairly heavily counteracted by their abysmal mobility, rather lackluster damage grids (on the lights, anyway), and generally meh infantry. They also suffer the same problem that PoM does, in that order of activation is incredibly important for them and if you can gum up the works or kill support pieces their entire plan tends to fall apart.

Actually quite the opposite. This isn't 40K and PP is no GW. While there are some definitely nice models I haven't seen anything that is super broken. The balance of the new stuff is very good and helps bring the various factions more into line with each other.
It does definitely bring some new strategies to the game. For a serious tourney player you definitely need to have ways to deal with colossal and the things they bring to the table. So yes, a definite Meta-shift.
However, you definitely do NOT need to get one of your own in order to compete. The tools for dealing with them already exist in the previous releases.
IMO, new strategies and Meta shifts do not unbalance the game. Instead they breath new life into it.
And eHaley was one of the top casters before the Stormwall. eHaley is not top tier because of the Stormwall. eHaley is top tier because she is eHaley. The Stormwall makes Cygnar a stronger faction and improves almost all their casters. But all the factions have been receiving nice new casters and other models.

Seriously, it's strong army to fight, but it's a looooooong way from "cheese" in the Warhammer sense. You'll notice that none of the recent big events were won by a Haley/stormwall list ( http://endgamegaming.net/tag/gencon-2013-masters/). The stormwall was a shot in the arm that Cygnar needed competitively, as they'd been underperforming a little compared to the other factions for a while BUT it definitely hasn't rocketed them to dominance (in fact, it's still the case that no one army is hugely dominant over the rest, you'll notice). In fact, in all of the new stuff that's come out since MKII launched, the one most amazing thing is how average almost everything is, with only one or two stand out pieces that really change a faction. The Stormwall was one, Galleon another, eMorvhana was another, and... well, that's about it for the ones people actually complain about that I can think of. The balancing has been generally pretty damn good, with the average stuff that comes out mostly just adding options/tactics or working well with a narrow range of casters.
