So for our big game this Wednesday, ive settled on a dual YT1300 list, but having never run one, I wanted some opinions and advice from the masses. So the list itself:

Han Solo (YT1300) w/ Swarm Tactics, Gunner and Millenium Falcon
Lando Calrissian (YT1300) w/ Draw Their Fire, Nien Nunb

Total Points: 100

So the idea is to keep the two within 1R of each other. Lando gives Han 2 actions, when he moves green (and all Straight are green), and Han lets Lando shoot at PS9. Han has Evade and Lando can pull crits from Han, keeping him alive a little longer, and Han still has the Gunner to get the annoying "2nd chance shot." Right now I'm working on just getting used to how to move 2 YT1300s in tandem to kee them in the 1R sweet spot.

I've done it with Lando and Chewie, and it is dirty. Lol. Tie swarm beat it, and just barely. The other games I've played with it have been slaughters. I'd rather have Chewie over Han, because he ignores crits. It's very useful.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa, WHOA...the man just asked for advice on a YT-1300 list, not what you had to do to get Tibanna gas to sell to put yourself through the Academy...

Joking aside, yeah on those big ships negating crits is a big advantage versus being able to reroll all you dice if they're bad. Shooting at PS9 isn't that critical (/rimshot) since the scary lists aren't so much the elites as they are the swarms who bring 16-24 attack dice against your 8 defense (at range 2 and 1 respectively). If you're fighting Fett or Vader, that's good; that's one fewer ship shooting at you. From my reading it's weight of fire that ends these lists more than a high PS knocking them out before they can shoot. The higher your opponent's average PS, the less fire your ships will be facing.

Not to say "don't use Han"; just pointing out Chewie is just as viable and gives you 4 points to look into a modification or other upgrade.

Krinsath, that was a nice touch. Well done at my expense.

IMO I'd go the other way and take Han/Chewie. Lando isn't really doing much here, his high PS doesn't matter much since you're using swarm tactics to pass on PS 9 from Han, and his free action isn't all that impressive since Han's offense is based on reroll + gunner (IOW focus is not very useful) and all you really care about doing every turn is evading. Trading him for Chewie gives your list pretty much the same offense but an impressive tank on defense.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.

I can deffinitly see the bonus of using Chewie, I guess I'll need to try both out to see witch one I like better. I've just not seen a lot of Tie Fighter Swarms, so I guess I'm not meta vs. them.

Maybe our deffinition of meta is different. Meta is ant time you are taking a specific Item to combat facing a certain tactic.
