So I've been taken over by the hive mind and want to prepare for the coming hive fleet.

I would like to mix nard type nids but more disturbing if possible(prob not), promethous' aliens

Remember the prometheus movie with the xenomorph in the pool that broke the dudes arm. Something about that fleshy slimy thing disturbed me. So thats my next project to pay homage to nards nid and creep myself out.

So ideas pics, if nard is reading I'd love help.

Thanks again creepy equals better.

The problem that you'll face here is that Nard Nids are very 'cartoony'/high contrast and brightly coloured.
In order for your models to look more lifelike, gritty and truely SCARY, (like the Aliens movies) you'll have to paint them in a more real world and lifelike scheme.
It's a bit like Teletubbies meets Gieger.
Good luck if you can get it.
Perhaps ask Navarro and Nard if they'd be happy to 'mate'?

Oli: Can I be an orc?
Everyone: No.
Oli: But it fits through the doors, Look!

Thanks, would you or anyone know of any slimy translucent skin techniques that you may have seen, with supporting blogs?
