A friend gave this to me for very cheap ($25, hence why pieces are missing), so I decided to make it the best model I have painted to date. Does it look alright so far? Keep n mind it's still a WIP.

Looks pretty good so far. Kind dark and Khorne-y right now though. Blood Ravens are Red and Bone White. But, as it's still a WIP, looks pretty good.

Maybe I could put the bone white (I use Rakarth Flesh) on the rectangle sections where the top plate meets the left and right plates?

Looks good, but you've made the mistake of putting the Flamestorms at the back.

I have made the same mistake many times. Although, to be fair, all the GW landraiders on their site are built with the weapons on the read hatch.

I was playing a game and the dude I was playing pointed to it and asked "Would YOU get out of that Landraider side door with a Flamestorrm/Hurricane Bolter/Las-Cannon blasting away ?" I thought it was a valid point.

I really like the weathering on this tank! I feel like the metal may be to bright though. But then again I just really like matte/flatter looking things.

the back is too black, and the ash effect is too liberal on its left side.

Not bad, but what ^ said. Also needs the bone, DoW2 has in on the plates outside the AC and the Flamestorm cannons, but i have mine on the recesses on the front.

Thanks for replies guys, for the placement, my friend put it together so blame him haha. As for the "liberally applied" ash affect, what could I do to tone it down?

The tracks are to clean considering the weathering on the side.Id say maybe add some stipple of another weathering color and you have a pretty solid model.
