Does anyone know when the Malifaux 2nd edition items that were released at Gen Con (especially the book) will be available at retail?

Over the next few months... The best place might be to check Wyrd's forums, and the 'broadest' answer is, all of those plastic items will be available by June/July 2014.

I've heard rumors that some stores already have M2E stuff -- I believe they were either at GenCon or made a huge order during GenCon.

Since M2E hasn't officially dropped (GenCon was all preorders, iirc), I would expect a big announcement.

Unfortunately for me, my FLGS won't be getting anything new, because the old stuff never sold.

In the UK, the Gencon stuff is being released on the 25th of this month. I think using that as a guideline could be fairly sensible.

But short of that, the forums, as mentioned.

I've got a pre order in because they were out of the rulebook when I hit them up at GenCon, so I hope it's soon ;-)

Far as I've heard, the M2E rulebook and the arsenal decks (faction specific stat cards) are supposed to be available at participating retailers at the end of the month, give or take a few days.

The actual order of the first wave of plastic boxes doesn't seem to be set in stone, but they did say that Tara's 'regular' (non-nightmare) box was possibly due next August (they might sneak it in earlier, but not a guarantee), so it seems the initial run will easily be a year long endeavor.

www.thewarstore.com seems to generally have at least a rough idea of what is going on in their pre-order section. They're not always right, but they have been more often than not from what I've seen.

October was the original release date, but Kroothawk mentioned something about them spreading it out between now and January. But it's coming up just keep your eye on Wyrd's website, or more specifically... the Warstore's newsletter

I've only been watching Wyrd for the last year and a half, but best I can tell their distribution chain seems to work almost exclusively in "end of the month" terms. Like, figures reported to be available in "March" would be available in the last week or few days. Same for April, May, etc. Some people might've gotten lucky with stores who got stuff early and just plopped it onto the shelves, but I can't recall seeing stuff end up in an early period of a month.

Just something I've noticed. Online stores, local stores, US stores, everyone seems to get it in the last few days of the release month. It's like the opposite of how magazines work.

Grr, Miniatures Market has listed the first wave of 2e as Now Available since Wednesday, and has yet to ship my preorders.

Think I'm going to email them to give them a poke, and while I'm at it add a B-wing to the order.

Miniature Market seems to be slipping in quality over the past few months. Shame really as they offered some of the best deals.

If you'll look at their main page they say that due to order volume it now takes 2-3 business days to process an order instead of same day like it used to be. You can, however, pay a little extra for same day processing.

My FLGS just let me know they have M2E in stock. I'll be picking it up soon! YAY!
