Here is the list I would like try out, but I need 3 more suits to do it. I like the idea of not having to defend anything. Farsight, O'Vesa, the Enclave and standard Tau Commanders join up with the 6x gun drone Crisis team and deep strike thanks to Farsight's warlord trait and do not scatter, hopefully they make it on turn 2 or things could get interesting. I can fire that unit at 5 different targets thanks to all the target locks. Another thing is this bomb can go toe to toe with most units in the game, Farsight with his Ap2 I5 attacks can thin the herd, and between the fusion blade commander and the Riptide you could put a serious hurting on most units not called terminators. This unit has  4 plasma guns, 5 fusion guns, the ion accelerator, 2 missile drones, and 10 gun drones to help out and soak up wounds. All told this unit has 35 wounds in it and it is scoring.

The 2 non marker light crisis teams go out to jump shoot jump attempting to pick off easy targets hopefully benefitting from the 3rd crisis team's marker drones which along with the kroot will be my only stationary elements.

Farsight  165pts
O'Vesa 305pts

Enclave Commander w/ Fusion Blade, Talisman, Warscaper drone, drone controller, and 2x gun drones 212pts

XV8 team #1 256pts
Shas'Vre w/ 2x Plasma Guns and target lock
Shas'ui w/ 2x fusion guns and target lock
Shas'ui w/ plasma gun, fusion gun, and target lock
6x gun drones

XV8 team #2   217pts
Shas'Vre w/ 2x Plasma Guns
Shas'ui w/ 2x fusion guns
Shas'ui w/ plasma gun and fusion gun
4x shield drones

XV8 team #3 217pts
Shas'Vre w/ 2x Plasma Guns
Shas'ui w/ 2x fusion guns
Shas'ui w/ plasma gun and fusion gun
4x shield drones

XV8 team #4  244pts
Shas'Vre w/ 2x missile pods and drone controller
Shas'ui w/ 2x missile pods and target lock
Shas'ui w/ missile pod and flamer
6x marker drones

Standard Tau Commander w/ MSS, C&C Node, Puretide Chip, Onegar Gauntlet, and 2 gun drones  164 pts

10x kroot w/ sniper rifles 70pts

Don't get me wrong. I love the idea behind this list, but I think its suffering from a bit of role confusion that's going to hurt it alot. That's a helluva unit that the enemy will not have to worry about for a whole turn. if they focus on one of your other troop units (say that juicy marker troop drone unit), you can expect to lose all marker lights turn 1. This leaves him free to spread out and get ready for you're deep strike from the powerhouse unit while not worrying as much from the shooting from your smaller shield drone suit units.

Every turn that star unit doesn't come in is a turn a 300 point O'vesa isn't on the table blasting. Not to mention that it seems a big waste of his T6 to put him in a majority T4 unit. It would be pretty messy if you end up facing a few riptides intercepting with ion blasts from different table corners...

Just my 2 cents

You make very valid points, I will have to make sure I do my best to keep them out of range or in cover until Far sight shows up. Last week we played the relic and I ran this list minus the marker squad. I didn't deep strike Far sight and the list did very well, the other two units were pretty much a non factor which is why I decided to add the marker squad.

Losing the T6 on O'Vesa hurts I admit, but with the pilot array helping out to get the 3+ invuln and his normal 2+ he is a wound magnet and late in the game I was able to start shuffling wounds onto the commander, I think I had maybe 3 drones left by turn 3
