I have a tourney next month that allows forgeworld models under two conditions. 1.) Preapproval by the judge to bring said unit with stated configuration 2.) It must be fully painted (no proxy, conversions allowed). I only mention the
FW because there has been much "friction" locally about their inclusion, somethings like Sabre Platforms and Dreadclaw Pods are outlawed but everything in my list has been approved by the judge.
My local meta is 50/50
GEQ and
MEQ with a lot of guys holding over mech from 5th. There is a particularly nasty nid player both in skill and list building, he likes his
MCs especially a pair of flyrants (he normally runs one) and a Tervigon.

The way I want it to play is that all the un-meched guys and the
CCS in Chimera hide behind the AEGIS to recieve orders and provide fire support (yes they fit, I checked

) while the 2 Thunderers, vets Chimera and hellhound comprise the mobile unit. The Vandettas come in turn 2 hopefully and help open cans, if there are none that's what the
HB sponsons are for. I have 6 scoring units, 2 in vandettas, 1 in a chimera and 3 behind the AEGIS. What I can't take I hope to blast the enemy off of (Special Weapons Squad with 3 Democharges), the mobile units should be able to score Linebreaker and if I get turn 1 there is very little chance I won't get First Blood. Killing the Warlord might be a little harder, but 2/3 ain't bad. The 2 Vandetta + BS5 quadgun should be able to work with anything but a dedicated airforce (which I haven't seen).
Please let me know what you thing, if this does well I might make this my new all commers list. My only main concern is horde armies and fleet/assault armies, I have lots of high S low
AP weapons but not much non-blast anti-horde. Blasts do great, but the Vulture with
TL Punishers has been deemed "Legal", very tempting...
