Well, I think you might be a bit top heavy in terms of heavy weapons, but play it and see how it goes. The biggest issue that I can see with this list though is scoring. At 1850 you probably want 4 hardy scoring units, of which scouts and 10man kroot are not. I'd try to find a way to make your scoring a little more durable, and add at least one more unit.

I disagree here. You should ignore the primary objectives if possible and go for the secondaries. It does not matter when no one controls the objectives and this list should be able to shoot the enemy off (of table or objective) and contest when needed.

He could also min max, and grab a min unit of kroot or two, and a min unit of scouts. Then attempt to throw an objective in your back end of the table.

or throw in a couple of kroot hounds and outflank with the kroot so they aren't on the table to be shot up until they need to be

The grav weapons are such short range I'd suggest missle/LC loadouts

Those Grav Centurions get a load of shots when in 24". However with no invun and 5 S5 CC attacks between them they are going to have real difficulty delivering that firepower. You are in assault range of stuff when within 24" and a single Vindicator shot ends the unit.

Tigirius is awesome but doesn't fit here. With that Tau Commander and Tactical doctrine your Cents easily kick out enough damage. Their issue is survivability and being tied up in assault. Get a character with a 3++ to sit in front of each unit (ideally one with the Eternal Shield).

I'd swap the Riptide for an Iontide, the HBC is ONLY worth it if you have an Earthcast Pilot Array.

The Broadsides should have only Missile Drones. Shield drones are worthless unless you have an IC. Then dump the DC and get EWO on all tthe Broadsides. As this is your only competent AA in the list you want them shooting first. I would consider swapping the TFC for an ADL and quad gun.

Take the Magic: The Gathering 'What Color Are You?' Quiz.

Yes my Colour is Black but not for the reasons stated mainly just because it's slimming... http://imperiusdominatus.blogspot.com

I agree that Tigurius might not fit. You could consider an imperial fist list as primary.

Your scouts will get bolter drill, and you could run one Centurion Dev squad as lascannons. (tank hunter is really good)

Take Lysander, or just an Imperial fist chapter master with the eternal warrior shield. Incase you play list that can by pass your 2+ save on centurion devs, and ignore a cover save ( with ruins, and the techpriest you will no doubt get the 3+ cover)

EDIT: Also the Chapter master has orbital bombardment. Remember even though the leader of your centurion squad will have the split fire item. Split fire is a USR so any 1 model in the unit can shoot at a different target. Also a chapter master attached to Centurion Devs will be able to move and still shoot his orbital bombardment. As he will benefit from the units Slow and purposeful rule. Also having a 4 wound, EW, 3++ HQ to help hold center board isnt a bad idea. Heck give him the burning blade also.

I take Tigirus with my Centurions and here is why. At a level 3 psyker who can re-roll 1 or all of his powers, it ups your chance for some sick buffs/debuffs. Invisibility (walking 4+ cover), Perfect Timing (no cover saves vs ap2), Feel no Pain on toughness5, giving Tigirus higher toughness stat and taking some hits to cover fire on the Centurions, re-roll to hit misses (so you get to re-roll to hit and then re-roll to wound/6's against vehicles with the grav amp. Talk about some nice combos.

Granted, you only would really able to get this off on one unit of Centurions, but maybe add/chage a couple of things and you have a 2nd lvl 2 libby, or make 1 6 man Centurion squad that is hard as hell to kill.

Otherwise, I'm not a big fan marker drones when you can take more missile drones. Also, I find Tau suffer without Pathfinders lighting things up. Another idea is to drop the land speeder for a small tac squad with a flakk missile and you can give the scouts camo cloaks for 3+ cover in ruins.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
also, how are you planning on keeping troops in reserve for last min? Tigirus would allow you to re-roll in that favor, but only for your scouts.
